We are heading off to a rather miniscule 24 sqkm island, San Andres, where I notice the hotels and beaches are very close to the town. Our hotel is jammed in between the town and the ocean. It just got me wondering, How do they process sewage on these small islands? (knowing that in Halifax they still dump directly into the ocean.)

Hello! Can somebody tell me if there is a luggage office at Chichen Itza? I will come by bus from Merida and go to Cancun the same day, and I have planned to visit Chichen Itza on the way. So I will have all my luggage and I will be bothered with it while the visit... If such a facility exists, is it reliable, is there a risk of theft? Many thanks! Maurice...

I've decided to avoid Cancun and go directly to Valladolid on arrival in Mexico. However, ticketbus doesn't list Valladolid as a destination. Are there buses direct from Cancun Airport to Valladolid or must I take the bus to the city bus terminal and change there? Does anyone have a url with the schedules and prices for the buses servicing Cancun-Valladolid?...

Is Puerto Escondido a good place to just relax for a few weeks? It looks alluring, and it's a place we can reach easily enough, although leaving seems a challenge. A challenge, not a problem. We'd just end the trip with a few days in Mexico City, since the connection there is 15 hrs minimum. Is it a typical friendly Mexican town? I only ask because...

Does anyone know if there are airlines for inexpnsive travel between Mexico City and Guadalajara. It is a short flight, but the price seems high for the "regular" airlines. I was thinking of something on the order of RyanAir or easyJet in Europe. -- Jerry Bank Trenton, New Jersey Music is the language of the gods.
