Hi, I had a prostrate infection many years ago and had fever and PSA was 69.5 or so. After antibiotics, it came down to 20 and after many years to 6. Two biopsies proved negative to Cancer. These were taken many years apart. Now, I am still having infection and some times doctor prescribes anti-biotics but he stresses drink plenty of water to wash...

By what mechanism does prostatitis cause lower back pain? It seems (to my lay-knowledge of anatomy) that the prostate is the wrong side of the lower colon to cause back pain through physical pressure alone.
