Hi, I am building a new house and was wondering if someone has looked into different types of flushes and which works better , a flushometer or a standard tank based flush for WC. S

I have a 2000 sf home with a 4 ton Goodman installed. The unit is about 5 years old, straight AC, strip heat. This unit has never been what I hoped. The front of the house is considerably warmer than the interior and rear of the home. I cycles on every 10 minutes (or less) and runs for 8 minutes, then shuts off. I have had several AC men look at it,...

Heat technolgy with verve. Since more than 30 years - water-bearing chimney boilers. As the costs for energy explode and the responsibility for everyone towards the environment becomes clearer day by day, it is time to draw the consequences. And to decide for a heat system that - technically mature and approved in many cases - united any advantage of modern heat...

when should the A/C be turned on in a house under construction? there's painting still going on inside and lots of work to be done. It's mid 90's outside right now(and humid). Will the workers get mad if I don't run the A/C? (which was just installed). the HVAC guy said it's o.k. but never when floor sanding. Which brings up another question. Should...

Anybody have experience using MiraTec ? I was at Lowes today and saw it there. It seemed reasonably priced, so I wasn't sure if it was the same MiraTec engineered exterior trim found here http :// www .miratectrim, com /. They were selling it for less than knotty cedar. It seems anything 'engineered' is a premium price, hence my suspicion. thanks. btw,...

------------------------------------- I am pouring a 4" concrete slab (91'x60') over an existing slab inside a machine shop. Should I use a bond breaker or a bonding agent for this application. Also, should I use a pea gravel aggregate or standard 4000# mix? ##-----------------------------------------------## Delivered via http :// www .thestuccocompany, com / Building...

I am in the process of putting in a patio and small retaining walls in front of my walkout basement. I excavated 8" down from the floor of the basement for the patio, and exposed the top of the green PVC drain tile. As I excavated around the drain tile to tie in drainage lines from behind the retaining wall I found the pipe 50% filled with water and standing...

Any one use the under sink hot water dispensers, commonly known as In sink-erator, they also make disposals and such. What has been the life of the units? I installed one about 4 years ago, and now its started to leak at the water inlet on top, its a push in type fitting, and looks like a small diameter PEX tubing there. the clamp that holds the tube in...

Our city was recently devastated by floods. We were very fortunate in that only our finished basement had water damage. We’re in the process of removing carpeting and assessing if there is damage to the walls and insulation. After removing carpet in a large family room, we discovered aggregate concrete beneath. The hallway and three bedrooms are simply concrete....

I've got a large building which houses a number of walk-through coolers and freezers. Some of these coolers exterior walls are directly exposed to the outside. (i.e. their exterior wall is also the exterior wall of the building. These coolers sit directly on a concrete slab, which is appx 3 feet of the ground. (elevated floor due to slope of surrounding...
