Part of the humor of this story is the IHS is claiming somewhere...

Just over six months ago we got a Saeco Aroma machine. Never got around to descaling it - my bad - but it kept plugging away, perhaps with a slight slow down in the speed of coffee production, until one day it just stopped coming out. Water would continue to heat up and get pumped out of the steam wand (if the pump was turned on with the steam valve...

Anyone up for a road trip? 2 dozen people or more would do it. We could queue just outside a certain coffee shop and one after another walk in and order an iced espresso. Maybe we should all ask for a "shakereto". The males of the group should probably be prepared and wear a cup... Shane

The one about stale coffee. I was in Sam's Club this morning picking up supplies and went by the coffee aisle. Since it was early morning and nobody was around I poked around to see what was on the shelves. Rio Grande roasters and Olive Branch, both of which are New Mexico roasters. The "best if used by" dates were........one year. I don't recall which one...
