WEST HOUSTON SMOKE & POWDER CRAWL XIV SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2010 “The CHRIS Crawl*” * Chris Edmonson; Heartfelt Remembrances In Smoke. This Crawl is dedicated to our friends, Chris, who passed away this year and Rendell Kitzmiller, one of the original Crawlers, who left us soon after the last Crawl. I can think of no better way to remember these...

[...] What does the best evidence now tell us? That man-made global warming is a mere hypothesis that has been inflated by both exaggeration and downright malfeasance, fueled by the awarding of fat grants and salaries to any scientist who'll produce the "right" results. The warming "scientific" community, the Climategate emails reveal, is a tight clique...

Pat Ashton, co-host of CCCCC and owner of Ashton's B&B, was interviewed for a story about the aftermath of the 5 year anniversary of Katrina. Seems his jubilent "our numbers are way up -- we've had our best July and August EVER" didn't fit The Narrative, so was edited out of the story. <sigh> -- Please remove your pants if you want to send me...

By this I mean the cigar that to this day is burned into your memory. The cigar that nothing you've smoked since comes close to matching. In my case it was the original blend ERH double corona. That cigar was so smooth and yet so strong I had to sit down every time I smoked one, and it had so many wonderful flavors. My mouth waters just thinking about...

Last week a buddy gifted me a couple of these when he decided to clean out his humidor. Knowing his cigar shopping habits I'm guessing these are 4 or 5 years old and I gotta say it's a pretty tasty stick, classic Cuban flavors and, being machine made, no construction problems. I'm considering a box but as they are now handmade and Cuban QC being what...

Oh, my God. I don't know how I missed this at the time, but here ya go: http :// www .sfgate, com /cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2008/06/06/notes060608.DTL? Is Obama an enlightened being? Spiritual wise ones say: This sure ain't no ordinary politician. You buying it?

Ok, granted it's a bit of a fuck-up, but it's something I've been bitching about, so I guess I have to give credit for action taken. Obama is pulling troops out of Iraq, a mere 20 months after inauguration, technically fulfilling one facet of one of his campaign promises. Who Said It? No Googling. Who said the following? The railroads were subsidized, sometimes by grants of money, oftener by grants of land; some of the most valuable oil lands in the United Sttes were granted to assist the financing of the railroad which pushed through the Southwest. A nascent merchant marine was assisted by grants of money, or...

Well, I started to just quote the first one, but the guy had 3 .sigs, all good :) --- ?The timid civilized world has found nothing with which to oppose the onslaught of a sudden revival of barefaced barbarity, other than concessions and smiles.? Just replaced all the strings on my guitar & got all tuned up, THEN noticed that the new strings had visible rust bars on them. <sigh> I'll probably toss another pair on, but what a PITA! -- Please remove your pants if you want to send me e-mail. I was lurking in a totally unrelated group this afternoon, and came across the following helpful translation guide that I shall henceforth refer to on the rare occasion that I decide to read some of the more heated political or religious discussions in this group. - Tycho *************************** "Wrong" = Right. "Good Scramble" = You clarified...

"I’m in favor of gays having equal rights, privileges, and responsibilities, with respect to traditional marriage, with the proviso that the new institution of same sex unions should be recognized (by government) by a name other than “marriage.” Gays are creating a new institution, and they should give this institution a new name." -- Larry Weisenthal. http :// feedproxy.google, com /~r/FloppingAces/~3/kSZWvy0lUDw/ --...

Q: If Obama ever got the chance to sit down and negotiate with Osama Bin Laden, like the liberals want, then how would he break the ice? . . . . . . . . . A: He'd start with some common ground, like how they both know people who have bombed the Pentagon.

"Suddenly the American public is shocked. Perhaps there is no economic recovery. Perhaps the One really does favor Islam. Democrats and Republicans shake their heads and wonder, how could our President pursue such divisive and unpopular policies? What is the rationale for his decisions? Is he incompetent? Is he naive? The answer is none of the above. I...

Bill O’Reilly interpreted the new Stallone film, The Expendables, as being about “macho guys like you killing bad guys,” but adds that it has received some criticism for having a pro-America subtext. So O’Reilly asked Stallone “Do you have a secret agenda?” Stallone responded “I wish I was that clever.” http :// feedproxy.google, com /~r/FloppingAces/~3/Ee3N0sSnNtY/ ### :) --...
