Hello All, There is a question I have had for a while. When I light up and first apply the charring light, the smoke is great. When I then light the pipe, the smoke is fantastic for maybe 5-10 minutes. I can taste the different nuances of the tobacco, and at this stage I tell myself, "God, I love smoking my pipe". Then it goes down hill from there....

Just stoked the boilers of a Pete 314 and steamed off across the parking lot, getting underway at about 2 knots, making for the USS Hudson to make sure that her topside hatch was battened, as it looks like rain. Well, maybe more than a couple. I noticed no posts from Charles Funn and no recent posts from Paul Zolig. Anyone? Are they absent without leave? Buck

According to AP/Yahoo, archaeologists have found Washington's boyhood home in Virginia. Among the artifacts: "They also discovered a well-used pipe bowl, blackened from smoking, that was marked with a Masonic crest. Washington joined the Fredericksburg Lodge of the Masons in 1753. "While we can't say that this was George Washington's pipe, we can wonder...

Howdy Gang, It's a beautiful night here in N California--down to 74 F and I am ready for my final pipe of the day. I am grabbing one of my favorite Charatans, a Canadian and filling her up with McClelland's Mixture No. 12--1992 vintage--and pouring a cold one. If nothing worthy is on the tube or Coast to Coast, it's time for some music. Enjoy...

I dreamed about the storyline after reading it at night. The kid's...

This a great pipe. The blast is sharp and detailed. Have a look just for the sake of looking! I have begun experimenting with a more pleasing black background, and it has turned out very well. There is also a new article for you to read that you may find of interest. Cheers, Paul
