Hello Da' Bear in Myrtle Beach and all other Pipers who may be riders of the lost plain. I read that your town is trying to remove the Bikers from two Biker Hoe Downs in MB. Have you been there long enough to an opinion? jerrygarison

I'm not much of a smoker of aromatics these days, but every now and then the sweet tooth with call out. I found some Devil's Holiday that I had put back some months back because I found it bitey, hot smoking and pretty much worthless. It's amazing what a few months of drying out the PG content will do for a tobacco. I found it to be a pretty pleasant smoke....

Last month at our pipe club meeting, The North Oakland Tobacco and Pipe Club, one of our distinguished members brought in a can of Spilman Mixture. Since I had never smoked the blend I filled one of my Castellos (what else?). The Spilman had a strange taste, almost minty. The friend who brought the tobacco asked me what I thought of it. I too quickly...

Just got one of my Father's Day gift from one of my sons courtesy of Frenchy. He got me a Freehand Corn Cob. I've been wearing my cobs a lot w/this hot weather so I told my son what I wanted and it finally came. Haven't broken it in yet. I've been smoking tons of Carter Hall and Walgreen's Golden Burley mixed 50/50 I've forgotten what english and Virginia...

Good Morning ASP. I recently got a real tall Missouri Meerschaum cob pipe estate. I'm not getting much flavor, and I am wondering if I can ream off the cake and soak the chamber with EverClear as I do with my briar estate pipes. The pipe is hard as rock, so I think it was soaked in some type of plaster or hardening agent. Thanks Guys. --Tim

Im looking for some input / recommendations for a good free or low cost news server. Currently I am accessing the group via Google groups since Verizon dropped all the Alt. news groups from their news. I use Thunderbird for my reader but need a server to access the groups Thanks Dave

Good morning ASP! What are yiz puffin'? I'm sticking with the Rum Flake but will change when this bowl is over. I'm thinking FVF, Coniston Cut Plug or some other interesting combination of flake balls. : ) Buck

I just received a pipe I won on ebay. It is made by a Hawaiian pipe maker and has a very interesting rustication. I have only smoked it twice but I think I am going to like it. Any one else have any of his pipes? Max * tinyurl . com /55jwlg

I remember P&T magazine had a meerschaum coloring contest a few years ago. Why couldn't we do that? We could ask Sinan Altinok to make the participants identical pipes. He could ship them all on the same day so no one could get started early. At the end of the competition, say 3 months or whatever we decide, we could photograph our pipes and post them...

Good evenerning ASP, It's been a pretty long, but good day. Was on the road for six hours, in a car dealership for three, and buying beer and other miscellany for another three. Now I'm rewarding myself with a bowl of Stonhaven (heavenly) in a Brindisi pipe and a Trumer Pils beer. Both are superb. If I get a wild hair, I may venture out to the...

Hello All, I'm trying without much success to gather information about the large Dunhill advertsing jars that were prominent in better tobacco shops in the 80's and 90's.There were three models made being Nightcap,My Mixture and Early Morning Pipe. All I've been able to learn is that they were sent as gifts by Dunhill to shops that sold a decent amount of...
