Didn't find a pipe I really just had to have, even tho' Mr. Kurtz had produced a very nice poker and a plateaux topped brandy nosewarmer. So: 2 pouches of CH, a pouch of American Spirit Perique blend, 4 oz of PS LBF, a tin of Dan tobacco Limerick, a tin each of McC's Royal Cajun Special and Dark, a tin of Katerini Classic, and a tin of Mac B's Dark Twist. Should...

No changes to the numbers for Round 2 of the 2008 ASP Zippos. We're still at: > Einsteins - 4 > Traditional Brass - 7 > Traditional Chrome - 9 However, with the help of our good friends Mr. Bill Burney, Mark McClure and a couple of other ASPers, I've come up with a possible new regimen for next year's Zippos. As you all know, I've been trying...

Good morning briar buddies. What are yiz smokin'? I'm having FVF and Kendal Dark in a treasured ChaCom bent billiard and homeroast in da' horkin' Grateful Dead mug. My spousal unit has today off so we plan on a little motorcycle ride. There is nothing so exhilerating as a motorcycle ride. If you are interested in saving fuel you might give it a t...

I some how bought a bag of meerschaum bowls a long time ago and don't know what to do with them. Today I made a coloring bowl out of one. I used a wine cork and turned it on the lathe to a taper, drilled a hole and turned a Delrin rod to fit through it and screw in to the bowl. I have smoked three bowls through it and it seems to work really well. Cork doesn't...

In this life we never have enough good friends..Tonight as I'm mourning the fact that one my best friends for over 50 years has lost his fight against cancer. He was only 66 years old.Over the years he made me laugh more times than is possible for me to remember. He didn't smoke a pipe, but he truly was one of the good guys.I'm glad that I told him before it...

Didn't see one so I'll start. After a meal of leftover grilled beef ribs, pasta salad and greens I'm settling down with some C&D's Cross-eyed Cricket in a Sandblasted horn ferruled Billiard by Dan pipes. Really a nice smoke! Iced green tea in a huge beer mug, Potter's Goblet of Fire on the tube. All right with the world. What are you smoking tonight...

ASP A year ago the MD told me to give up the pipe because of my worsening COPD. Even the ambient smoke in the room is a no-no, saith the Sawbones. I eventually obeyed, haven't puffed at all since mid-November 2007. I have put off divesting myself of 47 years of pipes and pipe smoking accouterments, including some 150 high-grades and a few of lesser...

As some of you guys and gals play guitar and have read some of my posts about my son and his guitars I thought I'd pass this on since "he's" on a website. No real big thing, he's just a kid and still a student but of course I think it's kind'a cool. <G> Last weekend I took my 14 year old son Blane to Eufaula, OK for a guitar clinic held by Selby Minner....
