Everyone has their opinion about cigarette smoke here. I was thinking of the body's reaction to nicotine. It causes an increase in adrenalin and the heart to beat faster. If you have any probems with your turbinates, nicotine may help relive the nasal stuffiness with the increase of adrenalin - just like a shot of epinephamine will relieve the constriction...

Maryland's smoking ban, enacted in May 2007 and effective February this year, has a provision that grants waivers to bars if after two months smokefree they can demonstrate a 15% loss of sales.
