Ok - I loaded up my trusty 2x12's (I use one or stack both when needed) they are 8 ohm cabs (16 ohm speakers wired in parallel) and when I use both I can connect cabs parallel (4 ohm) or series (16 ohm) and obviously using one 2x12 is 8 ohm. Anyways - I loaded up each 2x12 cab with one Celestion G12H30 Anniversary which is 75hz cone and Celestion "Heritage"...

I've never been a Blue Oyster Cult fan really. Always consider'd them to be one of the sources of the Spinal Tap references. Recently I've been hearing alot of the early stuff on a net radio station (Dominance and Submission, Stairway to the Stars, Subhuman, etc.) and was diggin' the guitar stuff. Catchy riffs and pretty tasty tone. Seems "Buck" was goin'...

She doesn't care. Hay I saw "her little waif" on TV the other night. He's inexorably tied into "Meet the Fockers" too. I guess most of the Dreamworks films feature him in the beginning. I knew he was coming on, because I know he's tied into "Meet the Fockers." I'd like to see anyone go over there to get a glimpse of him with Alison standing at the...

I've been painting in the studio all morning while listening to (a mp3 filled disc drive feeding into) an ancient Pioneer SX-1250 / Bose 901 system cranking out some classic and obscure oldies. I heard the Yardbirds- "Think About It" and remembered that is was part of the evolution that turned into Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused." I also remembered...

The standard guitar tuning is EADGBE. This suggests that the string order should be from the low E to the high E (i.e., 123456). This order seems reasonable to me, as this order also matches the frequency order. Yet, sometimes I stumble on references which happen to invert that order, in essence claiming that the high E is the 1st string and the...

I recall my admiration for a number of great working bar bands around Minneapolis in the Sixties, and one in particular which played at the corner tavern, down the street from our apartment building. Lead guitarist played a Fender Jazzmaster that he could, with a little fancy pinky action to the volume control make sound just like a pedal steel guitar. Taj...

Well check it out...:-) http :// deeaa.pp.fi/superbiore/superbiore I wanted to see how bad a guitar can be put together and still be playable and sound OK. Been actually playing it quite a lot at home of late, it's not bad at all really, and to my surprise keeps tune rather well! Cheers, Dee
