I want (or think I want) a small unit to provide me with Drum / Bass rhythm patterns & a few effects to plug my guitar into . I use a ZOOM general multi-effect unit which has adjustable Drum noises but they all sound 'bang bang, tap, tap' (no 'thud' or 'boom') ..very tiring. There is also a record 5 sec's loop feature which I can put a chord or 2 into...

Anyone know anything about collectible LP albums? I unearthed an original 3 disc album of Woodstock that looks like it's hardly been played. The vinyl is in near-perfect condition for being what, 38 years old? I know it prolly aint worth shit but just thought I'd toss this out to the general public. Maybe I shud snap some pics and slap it on Ebay and...

I'm new to guitar playing and have a lot to learn. I have a Jat Turser Classic 6 string electric guitar and amp. Is there an on line source for tuning amps? I'm trying to get that distorted rock sound.

When I was on my big city music store run last weekend I picked up a new set of Fender locking tuners for the Strat. Man, what a difference. I didn't pick Fender over Sperzel, just that nobody had them. Sam Ash had one set of the Fender's. The salesman said they were essentially the same and unless I was dead set on Sperzel's they were fine. And the Fender's...

Project time again ;-) Some of you may remember my comments on intonating my Rickenbacker 360/12 from a few months ago. I had originally strung it with a set of Ernie Balls that had a plain G string, which led to a horrible problem with intonation of the G pair. This guitar has only 6 saddles, one per string pair, as does most Ric 12 string guitars. Anyway,...

I normally use a lot of different pedals - but it's really cool just to plug in to my Deluxe Reverb and just play straight into the amp. To me it really doesn't get much better. It's a Silverface from the early 80's (given to me), and then it was Blackfaced for me. Really sweet amp. The only other thing I did was to take out the original Jensen speaker...

I use Outlook Express for both mail and news, and I want to open website links in Firefox rather than Internet Explorer or Avant (which is basically a front end for IE). This is because a lot of viruses might to be getting in through IE. Can anyone tell me how to do it? - I've tried some of the obvious things through the Control Panel, but without success...

I am in the NY area and have to have a headstock crack repaired on my 1995 LP Goldtop Classic. If I want a REAL GOOD REPAIR done, functional and esthetic, by a good person what would the going rate be [the crack was at the "classic" spot, right below where the headstock meets the neck]. I gave my LP to a respected luthier and after 6 month he finished...

Ok...so I mentioned before that we have a local band that plays mostly in the key of G because that's where their vocal range is...and that they do "Crazy Train" in G somehow...no capos, no retuning...they just play it in G. Went and saw them again last night and I think I figured out how to do it. I can't do it as well as they do, but I can figure...
