The other day I went into the local guitar shop, a privately owned place run by a super great guy. I have gotten a lot of good used gear there for a great price. That is where my favorite G&L came from. Anyway.....I never had a Tele, never even really played too many except for my buddies '72 Reissue Thinline....whic IMHO, is a Tele in shape and name...

Can crackling/popping sounds eminate from the guitar itself? For ages I've been convinced it was the amp and that all amp techs have been out to rip me off. This really annoying sound starts when I start hitting the strings so Im thinking a dry solder in the workings of the Strat? Looks like I'm going to have to apologise to all those guys I've abused. *eep* --...

After owning many amps and playing countless others I found the sound I've been seeking in the most unlikely amp. A Peavey Valveking. Yep, you heard me right. The Chinese made valveking has the sound I've had in my head for so long. As some of you know I had a Fender SCXD crap out on me so I picked up a Epi Jr. half stack to fill the void while...

Let's get this thing going. Forget about all Music. All that matters now is Nuclear Warrior. It's foolish to think otherwise. Awl music has been ACED! I am the only one who matters, in and around the cameras.

For simplicities sake, I used the Key of 'F' and start at the first position. It's the same in every key. Also, I've used grids to make it easier on the eye! Enjoy. :-) mvm > * tinyurl . com /2hj395 |-1-|---|-3-|---|-5-| (6th String) |-1-|---|-3-|---|-5-| |---|-2-|-3-|---|-5-| |---|-2-|-3-|---|-5-| |---|---|-3-|---|-5-|-6-| |---|---|-3-|---|-5-|-6-|(1st....

Ive recently moved my string guage up to .011-.049 on one guitar and now Im finding them really easy to play so now all my guitars have to go up to 11's. Its a bitch really because they should really get done properly - nut slots widened, truss rod tightened, intonation etc.... but hell they sound so much better. -- "Ray Rays Service Centre. Tune...

Those who, like myself, are Labor supporters are no doubt seething at the recent disclosure of the former Liberal government knowing full well that their level of government spending was going to land us in the inflationary shitter. How fucking typical of Jackboot Johnny and his team of fascist puppets. Jesus that just makes me mad. This was a government...

What would be ok? I don't want to go top of the range and I don't want cheap crap either. I'd favour a heavy rock sound if there is such a thing. Any suggestions please folks? Many thanks, BB -- * w w w .kruse.co.uk/ * w w w .fat-odin . com / * w w w .here-be-posters.co.uk/

Hello, I've been discussing getting this new neck for my flying-V knockoff. Now I've come up with this idea and I'd like any input from luthiers here if it's a good idea at all. My luthier says he can do it, but hasn't really done it before. At any rate it'll be much cheaper than a whole neck... See, I like the neck quite fine now that I've shaped it...

Here's the question - (not that I'm world travelling anytime soon) but would anyone know if I did take (for example) my Deluxe Reverb outside of US - are there easy to use plugin 'converters' so that I can still use my amp? Or do I need to have transformer changes or mod the amp somehow ? (It's standard US 120 volt AC). That would go for all the amps I...

I have no idea where this* has been "plagiarized" from, I was rooting around on an old PC and pulled it over on a flash drive to this one. The information is interesting to the extent that the biggest thing tubes have going for them to guitar players and listeners aurally, is the oft-discussed "even-ordered harmonics" that tubes enable, when pushed...
