Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of...

We just had a discussion about the relative merits of factory versus luthier guitars. I'm a sucker for mojo myself. What's your mojoest guitar? Mine is a 1936 Gibson L-00 with what looks like a social security number scratched on the headstock. It might have been the last guitar Robert Johnson ever played..... I still sometimes use it for gigs. Second...

I say good. Actually, I say excellent now that they have the V220 and Ultra V back in the arsenal. I'd like to see them make guitars out of stainless steel.

It just ain't possible that they could be any worse than shrub, the joker prez who gots so much respect that the Saudis told him once again to get lost.. Not that anyone else can do any better. Anybody actually wants the job of USA prez...

I tried a couple of things. First I bought some Blowout specials from the GFS site, two 4 conductor white buckers that wired to Duncan codes......B 14K and N 10K sounded a bit smoother than the stock bannzies, but not what I was after.....they are REALLY nice for 38 bucks a pair though! So I just bucked up and did a Duncan Jazz in the neck, and a Duncan Custom...

I pretty much quit scanning these groups a couple years ago after getting a Vista laptop that wasn't much fun to use. Now that I look them over again (thanx XP) I see Wereo Scotty is less of a presence but in his place we get this Mulay who is far worse. Is there some kind of quota system that requires Usenet groups to include a certain percentage of mental...

Is it the mini-buckers? I played a couple new Gibsons in the store and they were beautiful to hold and behold. Felt very comfortable on the right arm, the necks were exactly how I like them. Didn't plug them in 'cause the tiny amp room was full of loud little weenies. But I was thinking I should've bought one in the '70s instead of the Les Paul that was...

Man, Sychronicity came out in 83, they came thru my town about that time, or early 84, and I was a broke college student, so I didn't go. Figured I would catch'em next time around. 24 years later, I got to see one of my two favorite bands (Steely Dan is the other). Tickets were $200 for floor or lower bowl. I got lower bowl about 80-90 ft from stage....

Today, with the following #'s tagged / bagged 'n gagged in the filtered out Hell File, alt.guitar.amps: 41 alt.guitar: 30 alt.guitar.effects: 30 [There's an overlap of > 90%...same sick negatron beams.] With these ng's...
