Hi All! I have a Mesa Mark IV that I like very much, as well as a Fender Pro Tube Pro Reverb. Having GAS for a less high gain sound and something more towards the classic rock and/or bluesy veins (e.g. Robben Ford to Allmans to Gary Moore to Skynyrd to Bad Company etc). I used to own a Mesa LSS, but the didn't like the gain channel (not enough gain)....

Thinking of trying it. Picked up 3 NOS TungSols for 33 cents a pop (if they are crap I am out a buck.. so not too too worried) Max Plate for a 6v6 is 350.. these are 315. My Champ 600 runs about 370. Thoughts? Drewbert

I just finished the Weber 5F6A kit and it sounds good, but........ I never could figure out the power transformer W022798 wires as per the layout sheet. So I just wired them incoming AC black to fuse, fuse to power switch, blue on other lug of power switch, and the white AC nuetral wire nutted to black common transformer wire. The brown wire is not hooked...

Just turned down a chance for a 1976 Marshall JMP head in great shape for $250.00. I should have bought it to use as a paperweight but that's a damn expensive paperweight! Yeah I coulda bought it and flipped it to buy good gear but I'm superstitious of even touching a Marshall head. Gives me the willies.. :-P

Hi, A guy brought me his 1966 JTM45. He tried to service it himself and wired the filter caps wrong. He also installed a bias pot (the right way). What could be the source of static and high pitch squeal. Here's some info: Brand new amp Static and squeal remain regardless of volume level. In fact with no input, they both occur, very quickly after warm up. I have an Epi valve JR Head and neither occur, so I presume it's not my electrical outlet. I'm running both the valve jr and the blackheart...

I have acquired a Plush 3000G head without tubes. I was looking at some old photos and in addition to the 6 6l6 tubes there is a 7th "power tube" sized tube listed as a "Voltage Regulator Tube", but I can't find what the tube model # is supposed to be. Anyone know ?
