Hi all, What's the real lowdown on the Fender/GT color-coded tubes that they push for their amps. Are they any good? So you really don't need to re-bias if you replace the existing ones with a matched set of the same color (red, blue, or white)? I'm not a big fan of Groove Tubes personally, and would much rather use Russian/New Sensor tubes like Svetlana,...

Refering to tube data, several have the following statement pertaining to the grid bias voltage: "With cathode bias, the grid circuit may have a resistance not to exceed 0.5 megohm, provided the heater voltage is not allowed to rise more than 10% above the rated value uinder any condition of operation." It's obvious that the idea is to keep grid current...
