What type of PA wattage would a trio or 4 piece band need to for gigs: 2 singers. Mike the guitars, bass drum. Highhat. Music is .. Standard blues/Classic rock era. We need monitors, and front speakers. I'd like to stick to small combo amps: 30w or so.. even they can be too loud ! I'd rather have volume project out front ;-0 .

I just picked up an old Traynor YBA-2 bass amp, which I was given for $25 CDN because it's not working. No sound from the amp, I haven't opened the back yet, but it seems like one of the power tubes is dead, and the other is glowing but really struggling. I can't easily see what the preamp tubes are or aren't doing. Does anyone have any suggestions on where...

So .. I built a couple of speaker cabs ala widepanel fender (now there is a surprise!) and they actually turned out reasonably well. Pretty much eyeballing the speaker baffle and designing the cab around it so I am not sure I will be able to fit a chassis in them. Point is: I enjoy the woodworking part and would like to make more. I like the Widepanel look...

My middle tone control on channel 2 doesn't seem to affect much. What would this be an indication of? Perhaps a bad pot or cap?
