Has anyone tried speakering their Deluxe as a 210? If so, tell me about it. Did you use alnico or ceramic? I'm aware of the need to match up resistance, as well as to choose appropriate wattage. Want I want to know is what your results were. I've tended to favor a 210 set up over the years. My DR is, of course, a 112. It would be a simple matter to build...

Is it possible to know whether a pre-amp is needed from the tube complement of an amp? In this case, 6SL7, 2 x 6L6G, and 5U4. TIA, Ross

Good for Scott McClellan!!! Of course, we liberals (and some reasonable conservatives) knew that Bush et al lied about the war all alone but this is important because it's the first time an insider has made these claims. From What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception: "...the Iraq war was sold to the American...

Hi! I have a Fender 75 which needed output tubes replacement. I got two new 6L6GC which I putted in. The problem is I think the bias is way too high, the unit draws nearly 150W from the mains (without any signal) while I can see small blue strings of glow in the new output tubes. The other problem is that this unit doesn't have a bias control, just one...

Trying to find a nylon string guitar with full body but a slim neck as I do not get on well with standard classical guitars with wide necks. I dont mind if the guitar has a truss rod or cutaway as i am not a purist but I would prefer it to have a normal sized depth body so it will have a good acoustic tone as I cam close to what i wanted with one of the...

Wow, these are little gems. I got the GE (c 1962) and the RCA RC-30. Both books are in great condition. Unfortunately, someone glued some wallpaper like stuff on the cover of the GE. The RCA show signs of age, but almost zero wear. They give the pleasure of leafing through as opposed to the on-line tedium of trying to read a PDF. The GE is a bit...
