A Local Tranny winder made me OT and PT for plexi clone (schematic from hoffmanamp,com ) I built. The Vs are way off (500 on EL34's plate) and OT is mismatched as well: instead of 3.4 K it gives 2.5 K into 8 ohm load. I'm thinking to haul these wonders out and ( if ithere is a power tube that can handle such values as noted here) use then in a new amplifier....

Well, heeding the collective advice about the Gemini I with the blown filter multi cap I ordered a new one from Antique Electronics. The new one came, I opened up the amp again and discovered that the one I replaced was in fact a CE multicap, just like the new one that came! Not an Aero, like I originally stated. Sorry! The new one is about a half inch...
