Hi Guys, I am trying to improve my technique and strength. I am currently trying a fingergym exercise that exercises all 4 fingers independently. I wonder, should ONLY the thumb be in contact with the back of the neck? At the moment, part of my palm (just under ny index finger) hits the back of the neck as well. When I try to tap or pluck the fine...

I just got my Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster today and have a question. Do you know that little piece of hardware on the head stock that changes the angle that B & high E comes off the nut (toward the tuning pegs). Is it supposed to flap in the breeze when those two strings are removed or should it fit snugly against the head stock? On mine the...

My band is in the process of making our own demo. In the past I have used 1/2 and 1/4 inch reel to reels, 4 and 8 track portastudios and other analog recorders. It has been several years since I have done any serious recording. I have been looking at digital recorders but I am pretty much clueless about them. I need to be able to record at least 8 tracks...

Obviously it varies from song to song. I'm refering to one that has several complicated solo's in it, like Metallica's Sanatarium (off the Master of Puppets album) for instance. I guess experience would also count here, but on average how long does it take? I've been playing for about 2 months now, and impatience has got the best of me and have moved on...

Is this in the key of f#? Somehow ti doesn't quite sound right, but I can hear a b chord in there, and that's the natural follow up to f sharp.

Best Acoustic/Electric guitar for the money considering the following: 1) Approximately $500.00 max cost (lower if possible) 2) Low Action - Out of box (without visit to local Luthier) 3) Perfect Intonation - Out of box (without visit to local Luthier) 4) Great Box projection (Volume) 5) Broad frequency range 6) Accommodates both fingering and strumming...

how to play blues guitar, The first thing you will hear when you learn blues guitar is about the 12 bar blues, 8 bar blues and 16 bar blues, though 12 bar blues is the most popular. All of them use three primary dominant seventh chords. 12-bar blues has 12 measures composed as follows: 1st measure = I chord; 2nd measure = I or IV chord; 3rd and 4th measure...
