Can someone explain what "modeling", or "modeling guitars" are? I hear the term tossed around a lot, but I've never heard an explanation of what it is. Thanks!

After a month away from it, I heard a song called "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. I'd never heard it before, I don't listen to the radio.
