Hi, I'm trying to play Hey Joe and trying to get harmonica in with it. I normally just change the guitar key by fretting it. But I thought Hey Joe was in C or E but it isn't. Some help here would be great, Cheers Scotti

Hi everyone, Thank you to those individuals who have chimed in helpful responses to the other topics I've started in the past couple of weeks. I've decided that instead of re-working the cheap guitar I have now that I'd rather seek out a new, used electric guitar over the weekend. I already have a good practice amp so I don't need to worry about that....

My daughter's school is offering guitar lessons and she wants to take them up. The ascending minor second interval C-C#, (e.g., third string fifth fret, second string second fret) sounds dissonant. To me, it sounds more dissonant than the ascending interval C-F# (tritone, which wants to resolve to the G note). Why is the tritone considered the most dissonant interval? I wonder if you don't get a better connection between string and neck, ie better sustain, with a nut. A zero fret is like a nut with very little downward turn to the strings on the tuner side, so very little string pressure. Paul P
