Hi. I am re stringing my Jasmine $119. acoustic guitar. One bridge pin broke which is not a problem. However the nut also came off. I'm assuming that the nut needs to be glued back on. Question: what type of glue to use, and how to center the nut. For centering the nut I was thinking of just stringing the guitar and allowing the nut to float to its...

Funny, I just discovered this form last week. I'd always played G7 320001, which sounds way too cowboyish. While working on a song last week I figured out another way, 32303x...

When watching a TV compilation of Johnny Cash performances from the '60's & other performances from singer /guitarists from that 50's 60's period (inc. Elvis) I've often noticed a heavy use of (what looks like) some sort of B7 at the 1st position on just the lower strings ..higher tend to be held left open. Seems to be 6th string held at 2 , 5th at 1st,...

I'm working on a Kramer guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge. The neck of the guitar has a radius, but there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the individual string heights on the saddles to follow the radius. Coming off the bridge the strings are just flat. Is this normal? Any solutions to this problem?. Thanks. Sheldon

If the chord progession is as written I'd say it's in G. If played with open chords on a guitar the high note goes G, F#, E, (pause), E, F#, G. Looks like a blues turnaround...

A capo can only raise the pitch. This is a problem for me. I have a low voice so if I capo to a comfortable range it will be with me singing an octave lower. This doesn't...

I am a begginer at playing guitar an, I already know how to read music for piano, but the question remains? Can I play the sheet music from piano? Will it work? An do I only play the tremble clef of piano music?

I wrote this song yesterday and recorded it today. When I was recording, it was storming outside. Thunder can be heard in two places. Coincidently the opening verse is, "You lived your life like a summer storm." The thunder seemed appropriate, so I left it in there. The song is about my brother who passed away in 2004. It consists of three tracks....
