Hi, here is a video of some guitarists from the Servite High School Guitar Program. Any school that has a music program would benefit it's students by having an academically sound guitar program. All of the the students in this video started in the beginning guitar class, most with no previous musical experience. http :// www .youtube, com /watch?v=tQ-OmB9kgTw more...

I want to eventually acquire one or more used "song books", provided that they contain actual music. I don't care about band/song history blah blah blah.. Ideally they would be guitar (standard and/or tab) arrangements, but I'd even settle for piano music if necessary, provided I knew that in advance (I'd want to pay less in that case). A couple...

Stephen Calder writes : > Everyone has to make a living somehow. They can't all be bad. In our world it's pretty difficult, if not impossible, to live one's life in a way that does not depend on the exploitation of others. I'm certainly as guilty as anyone but it seems to me that we should be striving to eliminate it, not studying and applying better...

Bought a cheap Strat Squire at Sam Ash a year or two ago. I like this guitar, however never was quite satified with the s/u it had out of the box, but found strings I liked and tried to mess with it. I didn't help it any and finally gave in and gave it to a neighbor and buddy of mine. He is a luthier and volunteer at Fender Muesuem in Corona, Ca. He repairs...

Anybody here old enough to remember springs. I had toy cars that would go fast. Just wind them up and let them go. Braun came out with a spring driven razor. I bet someone could create a spring driven car. Maybe a spring generator. We could save the world from the energy crisis. Instead of saying 'fill it up' we can say 'wind it up'. Pt

Derek writes : > Yikes! > > Generously yours, > > Derek Dodson MBA, M.Ed. Geez, Derek, how do you sleep at night ? I don't think it's possible to live by the Golden Rule and be a practicing MBA at the same time. It probably doesn't show but I'm saying all this light-heartedly :-) Paul P

Strange thing..... Today Shell in my area lowered their gas prices by 20 cents per gal. I got a call from Verizon saying that they are lowering the phone rates by 30 percent. I see fantastic prices on basses and guitars. Maybe the big corporations are getting smart before the revolution starts. Pt
