Hey Low-enders! So, I've got a really naive question: I just bought the Fender Rumble 210. It comes with removal casters, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the things in the pre-installed mounts. I'm thinking they should just twist in and out, but they don't. They've got these 3/4 horse-shoe shaped metal rings around the top of...

So I'm new to Thunderbird, used to outlook express. New computer so time to learn a new skill. How do I killfile someone in Thunderbird? It was easy with outlook express. Not that there's anyone here that I would ever want to killfile. Perish the thought.

I'm doing a tour in a couple of months backing an up-and-coming Singer/ Songwriter and need to spec backline for myself... Up til now I've never had to spec my own backline 'coz every tour I've ever done I've taken my own rig as the gear has always gone by van/truck. At festivals it's been a case of use whatever is provided (fortunately, the festivals...

Just picked up an '03 Genz Benz GBE 400 head for $250. Great condition although the master pot is a tad scratchy when turned but otherwise quiet. The guy also threw in a very nice 6 space flight case. Now, here's the funny part. About 2 PM today suddenly I had a brain flash that the guy I bought my J-bass from a few months ago (that I keep ranting about)...

I'm going to brag. Am taking possession of a Joe Osbourne American Lakeland shortly. Swamp ash, rosewood neck. Several days later I will take possession of a 1964 custom shop Fender Jazz. Hoobie doobie.

Hi all, I've been reading this board for several months. I like this board; there is a lot of good info. I have a question. Has anyone done this, or heard of it being done, or does anyone have any thoughts on this? That is, to put a flat-wound E-string on a standard electric bass, leaving the A, D, and G strings as normal spiral or wire-wound strings. I...

I was in a local store tonight and they had a used Matt Pulcinella Level 4 4 string in Natural Ash, a gorgeous nice Birdseye maple fingerboard, Hop shots with a Drop D. It had a Music Man pick up and a P Bass Pick up, both Duncan's. http :// www .mpguitars, com /. It sounded and felt amazing and was SUPER light. It was almost as light as my custom Fretless...

My band is in the process of making our own demo. In the past I have used 1/2 and 1/4 inch reel to reels, 4 and 8 track portastudios and other analog recorders. It has been several years since I have done any serious recording. I have been looking at digital recorders but I am pretty much clueless about them. I need to be able to record at least 8 tracks...

I have a Hartke HA3000 bass head going through a Behringer BB115 cabinet. The cabinet is 8 ohms, and the head is rated at 180 watts (or 200 watts, depending on where I read it), at 8 ohms. I was playing a show without getting miked through the PA, so I had to use my amp to fill the room. I had to turn the master volume up to about 8 to get the sound level...

Old topic - Peavey used to use a thin-walled 5/32" socket to adjust the truss rod. Peavey called it a torsion rod, and the tool is a torsion rod wrench. Quick search of Google reveals the part number is 75031006. The price used to be $5. I called Peavey 5 times over the last week and they hung up on me 4 times. The fifth time a nice lady answered...

#1 Never ever try out new equipment at a performance. #2 If you sound is okay then don't fool with any knobs during the song. "If it aint broke....don't fix it!" Okay so I violated these rules tonight at the church service. I brought a new amp and spent a bit of time during songs fiddling around with knobs. The priest gave me bad looks and mouthed...

I know he was a drummer but I also know that you will understand the loss. Just a few words to let you all know that the brilliant drummer and band leader Allan Ganley passed away this weekend. I believe it was this Saturday morning following an operation. He was only needing a little help from a pace maker but was one of the 3% who don't make it through...
