Whew! this thing took me a while to assemble. I started with nothing more than the piece of wood which was left over from my computer desk. It was the keyboard shelf which I never install because my legs are too long and the shelf hits my legs. I made the rig mostly from stuff I already had. Then I wandered around the hardware stores letting the...

I've had it for about 10 days and it has not left my place. It is a clear coat Blueberry color with the Rosewood fingerboard. Most mail order places are selling them for $549.00 plus shipping. I'll take $450.00 with shipping to the lower 48 included. It also comes with a really nice heavy duty G&L case. Here are a few bad photos. I'll have better photos...

http :// jpbasslessons, com / This is audio only and not the best quality, but it is some of THE best Jaco playing I've ever heard and it was at a time when many thought he was on a downslide. He did a clinic at a small school in Martinique. It is just Jaco and Rashied Ali on drums. I saw this combo once in NY and it was HORRIBLE, but at this clinic, it...

I just bought a used Yamaha fretless with just one pickup, a split P- Bass pickup. I've been looking at the different pickups available but it is hard to get comparison data. Since this is fretless I would like to replace the pickup with one that has the widest and flatest response. Not too concerned with output signal, that's what they make preamps...

Has anyone got/used/installed a Graphtech Ghost piezo bridge pickup system? I'm (probably) going to get one with the acoustiphonic pre amp and wondered if there are any issues with the system. Has anyone used one without the Acoustiphonic pre amp and just run it straight out into a buffering pre amp or DI? How did it work? I've got hi- Z external...

I'm usually very careful about who I deal with on ebay. I check feedback on anyone with less than 100%...lots of good sellers don't have perfect feedback (gawd knows there're LOTS of flaky buyers leaving unjustified negative feedback) but if there is a faint glimmer or any kind of gut feeling that a deal might go south I pass. I also generally ask a question...

Follow-up: A while back I posted about a very annoying intermittent buzz from my Jazz, which is thoroughly shielded and has Fralin split-coil noiseless pickups. I thought (and posted) that it appeared to be the Switchcraft jack, because after switching it out, the problem seemed to be eliminated. For a spell. Then I began noticing it again. I checked everything...

A guy will trade in an older G-K 150 combo (220Volt) as part of a deal. It does not work. A repair-man has told him it is the powersupply that should be fixed. I can fix not-to-complicated electronics, but it is not possible to check it out before trade (it´s in another part of my country) The price is maybe fair, about 150$, so I would like to know: What...

Hi, There is a lot of fuss about "warm analog" sounding delay pedals in the guitar world. Guitarists are always looking to roll highs off of the delay signal , and a lot of pedals are geared toward that. But rolling off the highs for bass leaves us with a lot of muddy repeats. I`m wondering what delay pedals (or rack units) bass players are liking....

My daughter's band just played a 'Battle Of The Bands' competition (they didn't win, but they never do!). Anyway, the band on fourth were a two piece, a young lad (perhaps 10/11?) on drums, and a girl singer (she was twelve). Interesting mix, just drums and vocals, but it worked amazingly well (I've never seen it before). But it was the girls first...
