I saw this on Craig's List. Band Looking for a bassist.... We have alot of influences rock, country, blues, jazz, r&b, metal, ska, electronica, hip hop, pop, folk, etc., etc. Glad they were so specific! LOL Mitch

What causes a dead spot on a bass neck?

I'm ready to try adjusting the neck on two electric basses here. Both are ebay finds, neither is expensive or irreplaceable, and both need (if I understand the term correctly) more relief - the strings rattle against the frets, especially near the nut, so I need to adjust the rod to provide curve to the neck. Right now, the first fret isn't even playable...

I thought people on this group may like to see the video of my band playing the full 6 minutes of Rhapsody 100% live start to finish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3qkutvBLSk We are a 4 piece band. As far as we are aware (after scouring the internet, youtube, google etc.) there are no other 4 piece bands that do Rhapsody start to finish without the...

My new Squire Modified Fretless arrived today. Haven't even pluggled it in, but the stem of middle pot is loose. Is this a quick fix or should I return it for a new one?

My band does this song. They also want me to do the bass intro correctly. (Funny they can't do it well enough to SHOW me.) Anyway, I do a close approximation of the intro line as shown in this tab: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/aerosmith/sweet_emotion_ver2_btab.htm (sure hope they don't get shut down on the basis of this post lol) That tab seems...

If I missed this announcement already, well, it's probably worth the redundancy: http://www.return2forever.com/index.cfm/pk/viewall/cd/MAE/pid/400145 Note the dates in Boston and Philly with the Flecktones. -- -rob Bartlett, TN O> /(\) ^^

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HLOS2fi2Vo There was a minor debate during our practice last week. I ended up just watching the drummer's hands and we did it successfully, but it would be slick to come to some agreement on the issue. Sounds like 3-1/2 - ish to me.

This is for all of you that complain that I don't complain enough. You want to know what cranks me off? I'll tell you. With the state of digital, computerized audio being what it is right now, and with components for digital sound equipment being commodities that are available everywhere and for cheap, there is absolutely no excuse for PAs, sound...

Have any of you had any experience with Behringer's power amps? I'm putting together a sound system for the church I belong to, and so far we've purchased two QSC RMX-series power amps, which are excellent for the money. But the Behringer power amps offer more power for less $$$, so I was considering getting them for the two additional amps we will...

Our little church band received a Fender Jazz bass that had been stored in an outdoor metal shed for about 3 years. The strings down by the pickups have some intermittent rust colorations, as do the actual pick-up points and the chrome plate by the knobs is somewhat rough to the touch and looks a little white-ish. I am not a bass player (we could use...
