I picked one up today -nice semi-hollow short scale, basically a 335 copy. Lates 60s, looks Japanese, but no identifying marks on the outside other than the nameplate 'Maestro'. Anyone know anything about it? TIA. Chuck

Received my Digitech Bass Squeeze compressor pedal from MF. Wow, what a useful device. Just got it and have only tried the book settings but was amazed at how much better my bass sounded. I bought it only to tame the peaks on my 2 bass synth pedals I mentioned in a previous post but I may have to get another one to use in my regular signal chain. ...

Getting ready to leave for the Ted Nugent concert. Gonna be great! I anticipate a lot of VOLUME. The venue is so far out in the boonies he can play as loud as he wants. Saw him just a couple of years ago when he was suppose to be the opener for another band but one of the members died or something so Ted had the whole night to himself and boy did he take...

Hey, ya'll. I've been so busy I don't think I posted about this. If you're going to be at the NAMM show in Nashville next week, US Music Corp. -- parent company of Eden Electronics and Randall Amplifiers -- is hosting a FREE Meet and Greet and concert. When -- Thursday, June 19th Where -- The Rutledge LMV, 410 4th Ave., South, Nashville Time -- Meet...

I was just clicking through Beatles stuff and came across this vid about whether Paul is dead or not. This is a visual comparison thing done with morphing. It is pretty cool and worth watching. SotR http :// www .youtube, com /watch?v=huNOsFQa_Ns&feature=related

(4th attempt to post this...let's see if it goes through this time...) Very good Monday show! --Funny intro for Dave tonight ("Vice Presidential hopeful...") --Great monologue with few repeated jokes. Dave does a great impression of Johnny Carson with his "It's so hot...." jokes. --Nice to see the Sprayer back in action on Broadway, or as Dave...

Not sure if I'm losing my mind (again), but I'm actually curious enough to respond to this: http :// rochester.craigslist.org/muc/714044114.html What concerns me is: - List of musical styles includes "heavy metal". The idea of a middle-aged wedding band playing metal is as unattractive as a fat chick in pink sweats at the mall, with the back seam being...

Did anyone hear Hutch Hutchinson live with Bonnie Raitt on the Prarie Home Companion last Saturday? Whoo, what a tone - my car speakers were humming low and sweet. Being a beginner I hadn't heard of him. Looks like he's had a long, great career. http :// www .bonnieraitt, com /theband.php Steve

My toddler really digs the concert DVDs "Concert for George" and "Concert for Bangladesh". I'd like to get a few more, but I'm having a hard time finding concert DVDs with multiple artists like the above two. Any ideas? -- Write a wise saying and your name will live forever. - Anonymous

The other night I caught the last hour of a bass player special on TV dedicated to Allen Woody. Joey Arkenstat just blows me away. Totally recommended for any bass player dude. peace dawg RISING LOW documents what happened when 25 bass players as diverse as John Entwistle (The Who) and Larry Graham (Sly & The Family Stone) came together to record...

I'm in the market for yet ANOTHER laptop. They just don't seem to stand up to being hauled around in a backpack full of tools and rigging gear....go figger, eh? Yes, I have good cases but when you're commuting on a bike stuffing it into one of those things seriously cuts into the space available for all the other crap I gotta carry. A laptop as opposed...

Hey, guys, I'm hoping someone here can offer some experienced suggestions. I'm working on piecing together my FrankenP, and am staring at a neck with no tuner ferrules, and a handful of ferrules and tuners. The neck is a CIJ '57 reissue, the tuners came off either a CIJ '57 or '62 reissue, so I have very little doubt that it's a perfect match. So I...

Hey all, Just curious, what are your thoughts on this comparison: GK RB series vs. GK Backline series. Thanks for the input.
