I have found something I don't like about my MarkBass 1x12 combo. The tweeter seems to do nothing but hiss. Funny thing, I couldn't hear it till I put the amp up on top of my 1x15 in my bedroom (cramped convenience issue). I remember someone posted a while back about bypassing or turning off the tweeter. I can't find the post, could you repost please. ...

I recently purchased this Ibanez SR1205 on Ebay which I am using as a backup for my Zon Sonus V. I'm guessing it was made in 1994 given the Serial # C451248. http :// cgi.ebay, com /ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260230047645 I've never seen a 1205 that looks like this. Does anyone know if the EMG pickups are stock? Or did someone upgrade from the ADX5's?? It's...

I'm just popping in to ask a quick bass question, then I'm gone again. I recently bought a Gremlin 4 string bass in a pawn shop for $70. It's a 30" scale bass, which I like since I have small hands. It has pretty good action and works well for slapping. I replaced the noisy stock pickups with DiMarzio DP127 Split P's and boy does this thing have some...

Been listening lately to some early Jackson 5 songs. Their first four- or-so hits (I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save, I'll Be There) are truly awesome songs, but I've been particularly noticing how solid and tasty the bass lines were. After some digging around, it seems Wilton Felder played on the early tracks, although Jermaine is the bass player...

Hi All I've upgraded to Epiphani UL310 and EA CXL112's. I love them. I have my Avatar B210 and B115 for sale. I love them too but I also have an Avatar 2X12. Great budget cabs for cheap! $300. Prefer local delivery in PA. Let me know! Have pics!

This week has been a band mess or a technical disaster every single day. Tonight's gig is going to cost me money due to broken gear but hey, this band has so few bookings this summer at least I'll have plenty of time to take the rig in to my tech. It all started with a check of the gig calendar for my main working band, a typical corporate type...

I forgot how much I enjoyed this double-album. Listening to it I realize it definitely influenced my playing. I used to have this album: http :// tinyurl, com /6h5ceu However, I can't seem to find it on CD. There are a number of other CDs, but not *this* exact one. This CD has the same instrument tracks (from what I can tell), but not the same vocals...

I think I posted a few weeks back that I picked up an OLP Spectre 5 string cheap in need of work. I didn't know much about this thing, but I was curious. I have now replaced the missing string, adjusted the truss rod and adjusted the bridge height and intonation. The thing plays very nicely and has an unusual growl all it's own. It's sound has nothing...
