I am trying to plan my honeymoon for this September and we would like to fly into San Francisco and drive down to San Diego on Hwy 1 as much as possible. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to approach and roughly how long the trip will take? We will have about a week, but plan on staying in San Francisco for two nights and would like to stay...

Hi all, We are planning the trip below during two weeks in mid August and would love some feedback. Our priorities are seeing the main sights and not getting off the beaten path too much, but allowing ourselves enough time to relax at certain points...we enjoy some activities such as hiking etc. but are not planning too much time in the national parks...

Just a note: Sandy Hook State Park in NJ is open for the season. There is no per person fee. Rather, a parking fee is charged, higher on weekends. What this translates to is if a car lode of friends decides to go, you can split the fee amongst you costing less than some of the pay per person beaches further south. Hey all, Just wanted to share some photos from yesterday's massive fire at Universal Studios Hollywood. It was tough to get many good shots as the whole area was still very smokey even at 5pm. The park is expected to re-open today with the Tram Tour operational... they'll just route it around the whole New York street area as they do when there is filming...

hi all, just wondering if anyone out there can tell me anything about the area along New York Ave NE, just near Brentwood Park?? we are looking at some accommodation out that way (Howard Johnson's). Think about it....how many people do you know who... -need a hotel or motel room from time to time? -have to book a flight reservation from time to time (or often?) -go on a family vacation or cruise - whether close to home or across the world? -need a rental car from time to time (or often!)? -book their own travel...
