I have a 1995 Ford Ranger with the automatic 4WD which has the selector switch on the dash to choose 2 WD, 4WD High and 4WD low. To disengage the 4WD you are supposed change the selector and then back up in a straight line for 10 feet. I always back up way more than the recommended 10 feet because you can't always hear when it disengages. A couple...

My GMC suddenly started cutting out under load. I've noticed it occasionally missing in 3rd gear and OD so far and tried to get it to do it in 2nd yesterday afternoon but never could. Doesn't idle rough (had it tuned up about 5k miles ago at the dealer) and it's doing this around 2300 RPMs, generally on a slight uphill grade. It ran so smooth in 2nd...

Hi, My new old landrover discovery 1996 model came with defective and non- installed radio so I installed a JVC cd/radio instead. It was easy enough to make new wires for the speakers in the front-door and the little tweeters too. However, it is more difficult with the rear speakers. it should be mentioned there was no amp installed under the drivers seat...

Sunday I am pulling(towing) my 06 Sportage across country. 5,000 miles to California, another 5,000 back to New England. What do people do to not show the mileage? Can one disable the odometer for a trip? I looked at the owner's manual and all it showed was a "cluster" fuse. That implies the dashboard. Thanks. Gerry
