Hi Viatologists, The Worldwide Highway Library continues its development in greater Santa Cruz. About 10 kilometres west of downtown, State Route 1 runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean. Offering unspoiled views of cliffs, lush greeneries and rocky deposits, it's no wonder that tourists flock here in the summer months. Those who have subscribed to our...

That's gas for $3.33/gallon, still below national average by a bit. Diesel running now in cleaning-formula numbers: $4.09. Looks like the upcoming gov't handout just might fill the tank when it finally arrives.

You might call this one Midnight in the garden of the bad and hypocritical. Ref: * tinyurl . com /3uu7h9 and other articles found at jacksonville . com Turns out that Fairley Cisco (doesn't that first name just drip with irony?) the former owner of the gas stations on IH95 that were shorting people has been quite the career man in defrauding We the People...

Hi Viatologists, As of 18-Apr-2008, the Worldwide Highway Library provides geographic coordinates for 3.25% of its 2,186 photographs. Through retroactive action, the 'Operation Coordinates' program will increase the per centage of photographs containing coordinates over time. Came across this on Fark: * seattlepi.nwsource . com /national/359349 iraqseatbelts17.html This quote is just sad: > "It is a symbol of civilization," said taxi driver Ahmed Wahayid, whose > 1993 Honda Elantra was stuck in a long line of cars waiting to clear a > checkpoint. I had an incident with a truck driver tonight. I was in the right lane behind another car, going about 110. There was a big gap behind me, and a tractor-trailer slowly entering an acceleration lane. I expected that the truck driver would wait the few seconds for me to pass and then accelerate to move into the gap. It's a good thing that I was paying...

Hi Viatologists, Yes, those subject terms look quite similar... They=92re so similar that my viewer logs show referrer-links for both terms. The former term, viatology, has been coined to encompass the study of roads. The latter is the name of a music album by an Alternative Rock band named Pearl Jam. (Those familiar w/ the 1990s scene may remember Pearl...

What if someone took a hose and hooked it to someone's tailpipe, then ran the other end of the hose in a hole in the car floor or under the rear seat or something like that. How many miles can the driver go before they die from carbon monoxide? All the exhaust is going inside the car, so it cant be very long.

Red-light camera monkey business may be a national trend By Joel Hruska | Published: April 13, 2008 - 08:11PM CT Red-light cameras are often billed as a great way to improve traffic safety and prevent speeding. A few cities across America, however, have been caught short-timing their own yellow lights below legal levels in what may be an attempt to boost...

was just about to shut down 'puter and leave work, and got an overhead page to "anyone taking 50 (US-50) the police are setting up roadblocks." WTF? AFAIK the only legally allowable reason for a roadblock in VA is for a sobriety checkpoint, and who the hell sets up a sobriety checkpoint in the middle of a major highway during afternoon rush hour? WHAT...

He had one of those contraptions you see on the back of cars for carrying bikes. But he had it on his motorcycle. Probably took the bike to the mountains for some mountain biking. Prolly see more of that with the price of gas going thru the roof.
