I just bought a 2001 limited edition PT Cruiser and really like it. It has 60,000 miles on it but was well maintained and in good shape. But the mileage is terrible - luckily I don't drive far distance and can live with it no problem. Any hints to improve mileage? I'm using the cheapest gas (lowest octane) right now. Would using a higher octane...

In a move to make its SUV and other low mpg vehicles instantly more attractive, Chrysler has announced a novel new program to help customers with the rising costs of fuel. Starting tomorrow Chrysler is offering buyers a gas card that will allow them to purchase fuel at a capped $2.99 per gallon for three years, with a bunch of caveats. The automaker didn’t...

Does anybody know where I can buy the part you can see on the photo's? (part nr. 04813406AA REV. AA) This part is for the gauge illumination. In Holland you have to replace the whole $1000 cluster only because the dash light stays dark! Thanks, Hennie. * home.hccnet.nl/h.janbroers/IMG_0037.JPG * home.hccnet.nl/h.janbroers/IMG_0038.JPG ...

MAKING 50,000 DOLLARS IN 20 days This is NO joke=85.. A while back, I was browsing these newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00 plus stamps! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam!" But like most of us I was...

Hi, anyone know if the bolt pattern of a 2000 Voyager is the same as a 2005 Grand Caravan? I am considering buying the 2000's 16" rims to use as seasonal snow tires. Not sure if the 2000 rims are alloy, like the 16" ones I have on my 2005, or whether that makes a difference. --Brian

I understand that Dexron transmission fluid is not to be used in Chrysler front-wheel drive transmissions, and that the correct fluid to use is ATF+4. I¹ve also heard that wear and damage can result from using the wrong fluid. My ¹98 Town & Country transmission was recently overhauled by a local transmission shop. About 200 miles later, the trans started...

Ok- Question- 2003 PT, 2.6L engine. Automatic. When the car is sitting still, while running with AC - When AC Compressor kicks in, it vibrates the car, even to the point it almost shuts off. I've changed the PCV valve and hose from the valve to the throttle body, thinking this may help. Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks for the time and input- M....

Everything in my 1991 Dodge Caravan mini-van has worked perfectly until yesterday afternoon. I installed a ladder rack on top of the van, and installed a shelfing unit on the floor in the van, running along the left side of the van. After installing these two items successfully, I jumped in the van, put my foot on the brake, and the fuse blew, as well as...

Our '96 Stratus ES (approx. 85K miles) "just died" several months ago when our son was driving it, and we just got around having the problem investigated. Verdict: broken timing belt. This despite my having requested and paid for a timing belt replacement about 25K miles and 5 years ago when the water pump was being replaced. Estimated repair cost:...

I bought a replacment mirror glass for my van- looked like the right size but doesn't quite fit. It needs about 1/8" taken from 2 inside corners. Can this glass be cut, grinded or sanded without breaking?

A friend has a 1996 T&C with the 3.8l engine. On damp or rainy days, the transmission suddenly kicks down into second, even if the vehicle is going at a high rate of speed - awkward on the highway. From the technical literature that I've read, it seems like it's going into the limp home mode. From the wiring diagram in a similar year tech manual,...
