Purchased a transmission filter kit for my 2006 Dodge caravan 3.3L from NAPA. Kit has , filter, O ring and rubber transmission pan gasket. This will be first filter and fluid change on vehicle. As I understand it, as the vehicle now stands the transmission pan gasket does not have a rubber gasket but Mopar ATF RTV MS-GF41 ( silicon? ) Will I have any...

Hi folks - I got some very good ideas from you all with my first inquiry so I am back. A few months ago I was asking about ABS problems on a '95 T&C van I was considering buying. At the time, the guy thought it had a big ABS failure but I have an update. According to the shop paperwork he dug up, it was diagnosed as "Front Brakes 20% Pressure -...

Back here with my 2005 Dodge Caravan...128,700 miles on it. I've been seeing the following code when I turn the key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON... P0406 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High ...but there has been no check engine light on with this. Holding a steady speed between 30-40 mph causes the car to feel like it skips, bucks, or lunges. Today...

* w w w .ng2000 . com /fw.php?tp=chrysler 06/08/2008: Chrysler's biggest business challenge, Chrysler Chairman and CEO Robert Nardelli wrote last week, is to understand why many potential customers don't consider buying Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep brand vehicles. And then do something about it.

What make of OBD 11 scanner is appropriate to use on a 2006 Dodge Caravan. In electronic servicing Fluke is a standard make of meter used. What are good ( working ) OSD 11 meters? Thank you in advance Denny B

I just bought a 2008 Grand Caravan SE Value. I didn't necessarily want to pay the dealer the $500 they said it costs to install Cruise Control, because I'm pretty sure it's a rather simple install since it probably has all the sensors and wiring in place already. I have some questions, hopefully to be answered by a friendly Chrysler Garage tech. Does...

Anyone have a recommendation for a service manual for my 2001 Town & Country Limited? One of my side sliding doors intermittently fails to automatically open/close. The dealer wants $500 to replace the latch assembly. I want to see how difficult the job is so maybe I can start fixing these very tempermental doors myself. I'm also wondering if anyone...

Was looking at the Dodge website, and they show a Grand Caravan *SE Value* in addition to the SE. I tried to determine what has to be *given up* by going the *Value* route, as opposed to the SE, but was unable to do so. I was going to try to *build my own,* but they require contact information in order to submit the request. Does anyone know what the...

Just checking in, the missus has the 3.7L and the specs say plugs every 30k. She's really up in arms about the fuel prices. That's a topic for another day. Sure am glad I don't have a diesel! She's getting 17-19 (80% hiway). I pulled the plugs (50K) and they are the original NGKs. We're the second owners and I am really surprised that they haven't...

Well gang- I posted earlier this month and Glenn Beas told me that the AC fan might have died, due to our PT compressor making the car shake, and causing a small drop in power. Glenn my friend-you were right. Today, we took the baby in for a check up, and oil change. 4 hours, and $600 later-we had to replace the AC fan. I found out it comes as a...

Since the I've had the car ('98 Stratus, 180,000+ miles now) the cruise control has intermittent failures. The ways it happens are: 1. After start driving, turn the CC on, the CC light comes on. Pressing the set speed button makes the light come off. Can't be turned on again unless I shut and restart the engine. Usually works fine after the restart. 2....
