I have just changed the Serpentine belt on my 2006 Dodge Caravan 3.3L. I have the two shop service manuals for the 2006 Caravan and the belt tensioner, picture ( drawing )in the manual is not the same as on my vehicle. The manual picture ( drawing ) indicates you use an open end wrench on the back of the tensioner ( end opposite pulley, the spring end...

Anybody Have access to a wiring diagram for an 08 T&C ? I've installed a MyGig "Lockpick" in my van and to make the rear camera work while in motion I need to get a seperate power wire to the camera as it currently powered off the backup light circuit. And to me the best place to make the connection is in the rear ceiling where the harness enters the...

Hi, I own a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT / 3.8L Last fall I've noticed some strange noise: - it is a blowing sound (like a pressurized air escaping from somewhere) - I can clearly hear it only from inside, with all windows closed (i.e. when no outside noise is heard) - it cannot be heard under the hood or from outside / probably because other engine...

My reverse lights are not working on my 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager van. The bulbs have been replaced and the fuse(s) are fine. I am guessing it is the switch. Where is it located? I forgot to put the year with my last post. Thank you!

the van surges and stalls intermittently. at idle or low speeds. seems fine on highway its timing was way off, a garage replaced the computer after checking the timing belt, which was in good shape, engine timing marks lined up but the water pump was leaking, i knew that and had it replaced. van ran fine for 50 miles then started doing the surge stall...

I have had to be towed twice recently due to engine overheating. The first time, the dealer replaced the thermostat. The second time, they could not identify the problem. No loss of coolant, and thermostat fine. They suggested the problem is likely the internal head gasket ($800 job). Problem arises only with highway driving and only in stop and go...

The wife has a 2004 Sebring Sedan, Limited, has approx., 61,000 mile on the speedo. Last weekend when using the a/c, after cooling down the inside, I turned down the fan to #1 speed. I found that this was loke turning down the knob to 0, thus shutting down the system. I had to run the fan speed on #2 , 3, or 4 to get the system to run. Speeds...

What is the current preferred tire rotation pattern for radial tires? My Chrysler owners book and Michelin give the traditional X pattern. My tire dealer says definitely front to rear, which he did but that means my sidewalls on the curb side take all the wear. My tires are about 50% worn. TIA

I have a loose connection to the lights on the instrument cluster of my 1999 Gramd Voyager and I'm ready to poke around and locate the culprit. Can anyone give me some tips on locating the fasteners to remove to get access to the instrument cluster? The after market service books give precious little detail. Thanks, John Keith kd0gd@juno,com

I have a 91 Plymouth Acclaim 6cyl 3.0 and need to replace the transmission mount, often called motor mount. I had the part and returned it because I was not sure of the location on the car. My shop manual and computer repair disk make it's location difficult yet my Haynes says to just remove and replace it. I did the other two mounts (front and left...

Is there a good documented procedure to remove a broken belt tensioner on a 1993 Plymouth Voyager with a 3.3? I have a subscription to Alldata, but this procedure is not documented, at least that I can tell. I want to be ready for the next time it breaks. Does removing the right splash shield make it any easier? Thanks, Kirk Matheson
