Ok here's the problem. I've changed my own brakes forever and never had this problem. I got new rotors and pads at Autozone. Then about 6 months in I started hearing a grinding or groaning sound while braking. I looked at the pads and they had tons of life. I looked at the rotors and they were smooth. Nothing seemed wrong. I wen on driving for...

Wife's 2005 Chrys. T&C, 45K miles, 3.3 eng., accelerator will not depress--just rarely/intermittently--when light changes and you attempt to accelerate, or in stop-and-go traffic, or from stop sign--ALWAYS from idle. After tapping pedal lightly w/foot 1-2-3 times, it depresses normally and pulls right off. Car starts, accelerates, stops, maximum-accelerates,...

My first wife took everything including my hearing. So I need to be on top of a noise to hear it. When I opened the hood with the engine running, I could hear a constant low level buzzing noise. Any ideas? Dick

Strangely, I've had a problem with the radio simillar to the problem with the car, about 3 times. It's a 95 LeBAron with a 94, 95, or 96 stock Chrysler radio but from a different Chrysler, AmFmStereo Cassette. Black finish. The radio goes on when I turn on the car, or when I turn it on separately. The station frequency displays for a second and then...

My '95 LeBaron with a 3.0L engine just started doing this. The car runs fine otherwise, but last night, I started it and it ran for a second or mayhbe 2, and stopped. I tried again, some result. It always ran a second, or maybe 2, but it took me about 8 tries to start it, and then it ran fine. Home was only 2 miles away. This morning, started fine,...

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this one since I can't find any similar problems via google... My wife started complaining that she was hearing noises whenever she made a left turn. I took the car out and tried to re-create the problem and couldn't but I did get a very odd noise when I turned on the heater to defrost the windshield....

They are easier to modify and improve. Case in point: I'm driving my company's van and had a tailgator issue. Now the fix for tailgating is a simple mod, you put a solenoid on a tap from the transmisssion cooler and run it to the exhaust manifold. A button gives a momentary solenoid open and a smoke blast emits from the tailpipe deterring the tailgator. ...

My 04 3.8l Town & Country mini-van has lost its reverse lights and it's not the bulbs. Should I replace the Gear Position Switch or the Neutral Safety Switch or look somewhere else?

GM may soon be feeling some of Chrysler's pain over bankrupt suppliers. The CarConnection reports Cobasys, supplier of the NiMH batteries used in the light-hybrid Vue, Aura and Malibu and holder of "a key contract in the development of GM's much-anticipated plug-in hybrid, the Volt," is out of money. The battery maker lost more than $76m last year and...

Our new 2008 T/C van has a automatic with 6 speeds. Why would a person shift it manually?

A non-profit owns a '97 T&C minivan that now has a slipping auto transmission. They will raise donations to get a rebuilt trans installed, if need be. Are there other options? Is this just a pump? Or does it need "clutch packs and bands"? Any good advice for selecting a good used a.t. from a wrecking yard? Rebuild runs about $2000 (N. Califorenia)....
