Happy holidays, Anyone have any helpful suggestions for changing the headlamp bulbs (both sides) in a '98 Explorer EB AWD vehicle? That is anything besides "be careful NOT to touch the bulbs with your bare hands". I opened the access flaps on the shroud, and they do not look easy to get at, hence my question. My service CD offers little help, other...

Has anyone ever offered a lower purchase price at the end of your lease? How do you go about that? The business manager where we leased our suv, is no longer available and as a matter of fact the Ford dealership is no longer there. Please help!!!

The New England winter cracked the windshield on my 2000 Explorer 2dr Sport. This never happened on my 1991 Explorer -- its windshield seemed to be a lot thicker. So I wonder, when I replace the glass on the 2000, will the thicker glass from an earlier model fit? Thanks, Greg

I just got home! I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. We got home, put our car in park, turned it off and noticed the brake lights were not turning off, and thought they were sticking. So we gently pulled on the pedal, and that didn't do anything. So we thought we'd take a look at the fuse box. After just eyeballing the fuses and not touching a fuse, we closed...

Quite some time ago I recall someone posting the procedure to change the tail light bulbs in a 98 Explorer. I didn't pay any attention to it at the time, however, I need the info. now. How do I pull up older posts? Or, if someone could please tell me how to get to the bulb. Thanks, Steve

This problem started a while ago, but would usually start after letting it sit for at least 8 hours. Now its been a week and I'm clueless where to start. Recently replaced EG valve and regulator, new plugs and wires. has 133k miles. I have a code reader and nothing came up. Thanks for any help Jim

2002 Explorer XLT 4.6L 5-speed automatic, factory tow package. Does anyone have a list of the parameters that can be read by an OBD-II tool from this vehicle? In particular I would like to read the transmission fluid temperature, since I pull a trailer at high altitudes and steep grades. I'm looking at the AeroforceTech.com real-time readout gauge,...

Apparently, insurance company repairs as well as 'total loss' claims are lowballed as a general practice. I just read an article at www.claimsreporter.com that says that you can get on average, the ~$2K difference needed to get a replacement ride (vs. trade-in)... for sure, if it was not your fault. Anyone got any experience with using a local 3rd party appraisal...
