I have a 97 ford explorer xlt 4x4 with a 4.0L. I need to replace my hubs and would like to use manual hubs. It looks like warn stopped offering hubs for an explorer in 1994. Is there another manufacturer or conversion available? Thanks!!!

Lost all the keys to the car and had to buy a new ignition switch. In trying to remove the old key switch I had to drill out the keeper pin and then broke the back of the cylinder, meaning I had to remove the little gear in the back that drives the antilock. I had to use a screw driver to get the gear aligned and tested for position for the new key. The alarm...

We just bought a 2004 ford explorer. I don't believe it has the towing package because it has the class II receiver on it. Is it possible to still get the towing package that would have come with the vehicle when it was new. My understanding is you get the 3.73 axel ratio instead of the 3.55 axle ratio. IS this something the dealer does? Sorry for my ignorance...

I have a leak that appears to be coming from one of the 2 round housings forward of the vacuum diaphram. These 2 housings are about 2 - 2 1/2 inches in diameter. They are behind the heat shield next to the cat converter. There's a slow drip while sitting and a pretty good stream when the engine is running. Anyone know what these housings are and why...

When we got this vehicle, the sound system was truly a step up from anything I'd enjoyed in a vehicle prior. I was never an audiophile in an extreme sense but loved being able to listen to the subtleties that a better system allowed. Recently, though, speaker after speaker has started to rattle and then unexpectedly cut out. It took one week from the...

My air ride on my 1997 Limited is shot. The front wheels feel like dribbling basketballs over th slightest road uneveness. I do not want to go through the expense of fixing the air ride as it is well, ten years old and I doubt if I will keep the thing for much longer (although 118,000 kms on the clock still has a lot of life to it I am told). Can I just...

I went to get a smog test on my '91 and low and behold the exhaust pipe had come apart just past the muffler and where it connects to what I think is called the resonator. Well, the resonator does not appear to be a muffler and the tailpipe just goes straight through it so my question is: do I even need it? Can I just run the tailpipe directly from the...

Hi Everyone, I read a few posts about a sticking thermostat and think I may have one as well. I am looking for it with no luck but is it possible the thermostat is on the radiator cap? I've seen pictures and it looks like the part underneath the cap which sticks in the radiator. Otherwise, I can't find it on my truck. Thanks in advance for your help. BTW,...

After the recent snow here in the NY area, I drove through a lot of slush/salt on the road. A short time later my ABS light came on. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Last year under similar conditions, the light came on also. It went out after a few days. I'm hoping the same thing will happen again. Obviously this must be caused by the road salt contaminating...

I went to a meeting this morning at 10am. My truck started fine, drove perfect...even told me I needed to get more fuel. I come out of my meeting an hour later and it won't start. Won't even turn over. Tried jumping it, no dice. I came home to read about the PATS and it mentioned if the THEFT light flashes, you got a bad key/bad ignition ring connection....
