When he fell, flight attendants threw boiling water in his face, and about 10 people pounced on him, Spanish officials said Friday. The...

For a return flight from 8 months in Brisbane, Aus to Calgary, Canada in December 2007, my sister and I are contemplating a week stopover in Fiji on the return flight. Two questions: 1) I've heard recent murmers of a military coup in Fiji and how voluntary travel should be suspended - how long do these things last? 2) 8 months in Australia will obviously...

The airport is not half as bad as described on this group, although it is far from being great. The distances are large because it is a large airport, period. In most cases there are moving walkways, and they are working. However, at least in one case I had to run half a km to board a bus and no walkway was available. So it is a problem. A much bigger...

http :// www .cnn, com /2007/TRAVEL/02/15/passengers.stranded/index.html Warehousing people on the tarmac should be against the law. The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey should lead in legislation to prevent this sort of thing. Something along the lines of: "Passengers shall not be required to remain onboard a stationery aircraft for more than 3...

Hey, rec.travel.air looks like a group that had great potential when it started. Sadly, it seems to have been overrun by spammers. Well, about 80 of us road warriors have been running a group over at http :// groups.google, com /group/Business-Travel for some time now. It's a moderated group, so there's absolutely no spam and no rudeness. The subject...

heyz I'm writing a thesis concerning the 3 big air alliances Staralliance, Skyteam and Oneworld. I'm also trying to find out how many travellers are aware that they're travelling with an alliance, or if there are a lot of people who have a membership with one of the alliances. you can help me with this: if you've travelled in the past 3 months or you...

I've just gotten off a 45 minute hold with travelocity, having put down the phone in frustration. Half-way through an overseas trip, I need to change my ticket. So I called Trav. I've been a BIG fan of Travelocity customer service. Low or no hold times, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not today. I called. I got a stupid phone menu. I got through...

Can someone affirm that the 'specials' that ATA,com put up on their website covering the month ahead of current date also carry over each month? ie; at the moment, they have HNL-PDX $199* each way if booked and travel between now and March 14. Is it safe to assume that these specials generally are available year-round?
