Does anyone know if United Airlines stocks bicycle boxes at Sydney airport ? A friend who does not live near Sydney will be flying in may. It appears that United no longer accepts to pass request from pax to the airport staff for a call back with the answer. (Or so I was told). Is this truly the case ? so I'm flying JAL to asia soon and a lot of what were are packing. mostly all clothes is going in spacebags. Is the TSA going to open these once we get to the airport? Obviously that completely defeats their purpose.

After reading throug some of the posts, I thought I would shae my own recent experience. I was travelling between two major Canadian cities for a 3 week vacation to visit family, and my bag did not make it. I filed my missing claim at the airport. Re-assured that 90% of all delayed bags get returned in 24 hours (from what I read) I did not stress too much....
