How far is it from terminal 4 to terminal 1 (by distance and time)? Walking distance? Is there a free shuttle? Can I take the "Heathrow Express" train between terminals for free - or the Underground? Thanks for any info you can give me.

I recently travelled ORD-LHR (on AA) and LHR-DEL (on BA). Each sector is about 4000 miles. While AA deposited 4000 miles in my AA account, their "partner" BA gave me only about 1000. An unpleasant surprise.

On my recent return from MNL to JFK via HKG on Cathay Pacific, I flew all legs on the same aircraft, which surprisingly turned out to be a 747-400 with Pratt & Whitney engines. Having just completed a JFK-MNL RT on Cathay Pacific, I've decided that life is too short for 20 hours in steerage. I've flown EVA's Evergreen Deluxe class before, and assume they still offer it.
