A Florida man who was convicted earlier this week of causing a liquor-fuelled commotion aboard a transatlantic flight has been released from a Labrador lockup. Paul Burns, 47, was released after he arranged to pay a $12,000 fine imposed during a court hearing on Wednesday. Burns had pleaded guilty to endangering the safety and security of an aircraft...

How far is it from terminal 4 to terminal 1 (by distance and time)? Walking distance? Is there a free shuttle? Can I take the "Heathrow Express" train between terminals for free - or the Underground? Thanks for any info you can give me.

I spotted this on a polish website. Is this for real? http://www.lotnictwo.net.pl/viewforum.php?f=1 Translates to Ryanair Space Flights? I was in a hotel in Geneva last week, and Ryanair's commercial team were heading into a conference room which was being held for a company called t/space. I've just looked them up on the internet http://www.transformspace.com/...

I recently travelled ORD-LHR (on AA) and LHR-DEL (on BA). Each sector is about 4000 miles. While AA deposited 4000 miles in my AA account, their "partner" BA gave me only about 1000. An unpleasant surprise.

Inaugural Flights Draw Airline 'Geeks' By Del Quentin Wilber Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, March 29, 2007; A01 Andrew Gibbons will spend the next 38 of 48 hours on airliners -- for fun. On my recent return from MNL to JFK via HKG on Cathay Pacific, I flew all legs on the same aircraft, which surprisingly turned out to be a 747-400 with Pratt & Whitney engines. This surprised me, as I recalled (and the inflight magazine confirmed) that all of CX's 744s are Rolls-Royce powered. The placarding in the cabin and lavs made it clear that...

Having just completed a JFK-MNL RT on Cathay Pacific, I've decided that life is too short for 20 hours in steerage. I've flown EVA's Evergreen Deluxe class before, and assume they still offer it. The downside is that (when last I was there) TPE was a rather shabby airport, whereas HKG is truly spectacular. This is more of an issue now that my wife accompanies...

add your bits of humor An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a, "Thanks for flying XYZ airline." He said that in light of his bad landing, he had a hard...

While in Peru recently I was offered the opportunity of spending a weekend away from Lima down south in the Hacienda Cantayo. I'd heard great stories about this enchanting hotel located on the outskirts of Nazca, and so naturally I jumped on the invitation. Owing to the famous and mysterious Geogylphic Lines located on the plains outside the town, Nazca...
