I know about tire wear. But other than that, what kind of damage can I expect on my '05 GT with an automatic trans? It has 31,000 relatively gentle miles, I'd like it to last years, but I want to have some fun every once in awhile when nobody is around. I do all oil changes at 3,000 miles and use Mobil 1, 5-20w, and motorcraft filters. Thanks

Ive got a Toyota 4 runner 5spd. For the past couple years the clutch has been slipping a bit. But just past couple weeks, the clutch pedal feels different, softer, less resistance. And the stick feels different too when shifting. Also, it grinds every time I put it in reverse whereas up to just a month ago or so, it never did. Are these tell tale signs...

Environmental lawsuits block ethanol expansion So let’s get this straight: Ethanol is supposed to be the gasoline replacement that eases our oil imports and pays a dividend for the American farmer, while at the same time yielding environmental benefits from a cleaner, renewable fuel, right? So why are environmental groups around the country suing to halt...

Automatic Transmission weird shifting 1990 Ford Ranger 4X2 Super Cab V 4.0L A4LD Transmission My vacuum modulator failed, automatic transmission fluid was being sucked into the intake. The part has been bad for a good while about a year. I discovered it as my fluid level has been slowly dropping over the last year. The truck ran fine. I purchase...

Hello Everyone: I have a 1996 GT, 5-speed manual transmission. A couple of months ago, I noticed that my car wouldn't start. When you turn the key, all you would hear is a click (I am assuming it is the starter solenoid). Then, if you turn the key again and again, sometimes you get lucky and the car starts right up as if there were nothing wrong at...

My roomate's mustang hasn't had cruise for months now and we decided to get on it. He took it to the dealer and they said it was a bad servo ($99 diagnostic) and that it would be $450 parts and labor (ha). We went to the junkyard and pulled one for $50 and installed it. Now when you push the off button on the steering wheel, the horn honks. Any good...

Hi folks, quick question for the folks in the know. Yesterday I took the wife's 05 Mustang in for the 30,000 mile check up. The service writer asked me if I wanted nitrogen in the tires, the cost would be $32.50. With all due respect to myself, I ain't no rocket scientist. I know about and why they use nitrogen in aircraft tires...but, why would anyone...
