Well I crawled under the hood of my old '89 LX this weekend and removed the supercharger. I figure I might as well start moving toward the N/A stroker engine and the first speed part to go is the Kenne Bell twin screw supercharger. I am selling the larger version (aka the Blowzilla) which is a 2.2L size and the inlet and outlet manifolds are the higher...

It is time for me to renew the steering components on my 1996 Mustang GT (over 120,000 miles). I have purchased a set of new TRW inner tie rod ends, and I have rented the proper inner tie rod long socket tool that is needed to remove and install these parts. However, I won't be able to use this tool to install the TRW tie rod ends, because the tool...

I have a 1985 Ford Mustang GT with T-Tops, rectangular driving lights and a Ford Racing clutch. The clutch assembly has very few miles on it. I have not driven the car for probably 8 years or more. The car itself is solid, tough cosmetically. Needs a new hood as it is rusty from paint chips/poor paint quality (car was garaged most of its life). The...

Do you have any links to dyno curves for the modded Cobra/Lightning engines? Looking for HP and torque and general "under the curve" specs. Nothing too outrageous, just the guy's that change injectors and do easy mods. Al 9.02 @ 153 MPH OT door car

For some reason my Son is determined to install a Shaker Hood Scoop System on his 2006 Mustang V6. I've seen two systems. One from Classis Design Concepts used the OE hood after cutting a hole in the hood for the scoop. The other is from Aeroform and includes a replacement fiberglass hood. I'd be interested in hearing from people that own either kit...

I was recently driving with a relative in their Mustang (6) with an automatic transmission. They were "shifting down" to decelerate for stop signs, curves, normal traffic etc. (Someone told them it saves the brakes) Is this wise? Is it necessary?

What an odd day. I drive my car back and forth to work everyday. I also drive it occasionally on the weekends. On average it racks up about 250-300 miles a week. But I never notice anyone looking and/or pointing at my car, it's rare I hear anyone tell me "nice car", and even rarer that anyone wants to race me. Most of the time I feel, by this lack of...

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I have a 2005, 6 cylinder, convertible. When I got gas last weekend it was half full, I started pumping the gas but the pump cuts off immediately, as if it were full. By repeatedly pumping a quick shot of gas before it cuts out I was able to get $5 dollars worth and I thought at that time the problem was the pump....

I had an OBDII code check and it told me that cylinder#5 has been misfiring. Since I never changed the plugs (after 100K miles), I changed all 8, and the problem went away for a few weeks. Now, the same cylinder is misfiring again. What I also noticed is that when the car is in the garage for more than a week, the misfiring always happens on first (cold)...

Lotsa sweet 'stangs all over, and a nice display of 428CJ's Did anyone hear the silver Ford GT on the dyno? Holy crap, it was at once the voice of God and Satan... it was horribly beautiful... Wonderin' what kind of numbers it put up. I heard the owner was hoping for 625 HP at the rear wheels. It was hot as a MoFo out there too... mkl
