I don't know if my car has always done this, but I realized recently that my AC compressor cycles on/off every 10 seconds when idling at a stop light. Is that normal? I have a 2001 Civic. The outside temp was about 80s, low humidity (maybe 25%). In terms of cooling the cabin, the AC works fine. But when I'm idling, I notice the AC compressor will turn...

After getting a check engine signal I retightened the gas cap then discnncted battery for 10 mins which gave only 1 minute of the check engine light being off so this AM had Auto Zone read the code and it's 1166 -"fuel meter related" according to AZone guy. This 84K flawless miles car runs great.Suggestions? Thanks

How often should one change his power-steering fluid? I have 85,000 KMS on my 2003 CR-V. Do I really need to use the expensive OEM dealer fluid or can I get a generic brand? Also, do I just replace what's in the reservoir, or do I need to pump all the fluid out? Thanks!

When Honda introduced the first generation Fit to the North American market in mid-2006, its timing couldn't have been better. The entry level hatchback appeared just as fuel prices in the U.S. were heading skyward. Ever since then, the Fit has been selling as fast as Honda can bring them in from Japan. The Fit (or Jazz as its known in some markets) debuted in...

Having problem with running lights on 93 Accord, want to swap out relay. On 90 Accord, running lights are low beams. On 93, they're reduced voltage hi beams. Does anyone know what year they switched?

I have a Honda Civic 89 automatic 1.5 engine. Car starts fine cold, after letting it get warm at a idle for about 20 minutes and then holding rpms up for about 2 minutes it states chugging like its running out of gas And finally dies. After it cools down it will start again and run fine. What could it be. We recently put in a new main relay, a coil and...

b16 engine, knock sensor seems to have infinite resistance. this normal? (just bought the knock sensor used on ebay; i know about ebay sellers, but there is no reason to think the seller is screwing me, he has long good history, and i haven't seen a lot of complaints anywhere about a high proportion of knock sensors going bad) if it is infinite resistance,...

Honda Accord EX 2000, 4DR, 5Spd, 74K miles, one owner, no accidents so far, no major repairs except routine maintenance. Today I started the car and after all the self tests, the SRS (Air Bag System) light stayed on. I looked in the operating manual it says take it to the dealer. I do have a shop manual with detailed diagrams for trouble shooting. Can...

My 1986 Accord (225000 miles) failed the WA state emission test. Results shown below. High CO at cruise, but passes on everything else. I checked the last 3 tests (testing is every 2 years) and on each of these I have just squeeked by on the CO. I remember years earlier that the CO was zero at cruise, but now it's more than double the allowable. ...

The following symptoms, which may or may not all be related, are all happening with my 2000 Accord EX Coupe: * Check Engine light is on, code P1486 (Thermostat Range/Performance Problem) * AC stopped getting cold * Idle periodically fluctuates back and forth from just under 1000 RPM to about 2000. Doesn't do this for very long usually, and happens most...

Okay, crazy may be overexaggerating a bit, but Honda is planning on mass producing a new hybrid vehicle that's set to launch in April, with a goal of 100,000 a year in the U.S. and 200,000 globally. The vehicle is going to be built in Japan, and will launch globally on April 22nd, which just coincidentally happens to be Earth Day. Another positive note is...
