How much time should it take to replace an original thermostat in a 1997 Civic? Should I have new bolts on hand in case the original bolts get damage when removing them?

Hi all, My car leaks a little bit of coolant. It comes out somewhere under the engine. The radiator is full. I had a timing belt/ water pump change last year at the honda dealer. If the radiator is full, could it still be a leak in the radiator? I just hope it's not something expensive to fix. Could you give me some feedback? thanks, vlad

Hello, Group: Recently I brought my car into the repair shop to have a new catalyst converter and o2 sensor replaced. After all the work was done, when I'm idle and goto accelerate my car jerks. This happens only when I begin to accelerate after being stopped. The repair shop had to do some welding to install the catalyst converter, which was an after...

I would like to replace just the bearing, NOT the pulley. But, I don't want to take the pulley off the car now because I need to continue driving it until I have the replacement bearing. Does anyone know where to buy the actual bearing itself? Thanks again !!

I have over 85 K miles on my 98 V6 sedan. A few weeks ago it started making two noises -- don't know if they are related. Driving forward, the engine makes a mechanical noise that sounds to me like scissors opening and closing; sharpening a chef's knife against a sharpening rod; a steam radiator valve letting off steam intermittently; or someone shushing,...

I recently bought a 1998 Honda Civic DX and discovered that my brake lights are not working. I began troubleshooting the problem by first replacing the brake light switch (under the brake pedal) which didn't help and then replaced the third brake light bulb (which was burnt out) but that didn't help either. I then started looking at the brake light...

96 civic si, yesterday the clutch pedal freeplay suddenly changed. Now to engage clutch I have to push it 3/4 of the way to the floor. It's still driveable but it feels like the clutch might be slipping with my foot off the pedal. I have not tested this yet as I was in a hurry and switched to my other vehicle. I will be looking at this problem...

'94 Accord Sedan LX 208k Yesterday while climbing a hill I felt a loss of power and suddenly a lot of shaking. Prior to this the car had run smoothly, but did smoke blue smoke at start up. Last night I changed out the plugs. Most had oil on them so I changed out the valve cover and plug gaskets. The smoke has since stopped, but cylinder #3 is not firing....

Hi, Lately I hear a ticking noise when the heat is on in my car. It most probably would have to do with the "fan" (if there is a specific fan for the heating system) because when the heat is off it goes away. Any suggestions on what could possibly be causing it, and if so, how easy would it be to fix this problem. Thanks in advance, Freddy
