Is there a gasket under the throttle body that I would want to go buy before taking the thing off for cleaning? The dealer being a few miles away and the temperature in the 90's and all. Or does it just tighten down to fit?

Anybody have this problem before? I cannot turn off the wipers on my 97 Wrangler. I can switch between the hi and low settings but when the switch is set to off they just keep going. I can't decide if it's the motor or the control.. Glenn

Hello Everybody, I'm looking to purchase my first Jeep Wrangler. Don't want to get anything too fancy, or too tricked up. My wife and I will use it for hiking and camping trips, and for driving on snow covered roads and skiiing trips. I went to my local Jeep dealer and they had a nice new model with minimal bells and whistles for about $20K. ...

Everyday, Americans cannot afford their car payments. As a result, their new and almost new cars are seized and sold in a hurry because the storing costs are very expensive for the amount of cars they have. They need to get rid of these cars as fast as possible and they are willing to take almost any price for the amazing cars. Because of our updated databases,...

I've got a '99 TJ Sport with an 8000lb Champion winch on the front mounted into the stock tow hook holes. Will the double-tube hoop bumpers fit with the winch on (such as the Smitty Bilt ones)? Any I should avoid for sure? Any that fit for sure? Thanks!

I've searched the group and can't find a thread for this particular problem. I have a 1991 Cherokee Lorado. Recently, the heater blower switch heated up and melted the plastic wire loom. The switch got so hot that the plastic parts inside the switch melted and fused. I also noticed that one of the connections on the plug that goes to the heater/ac control...

Some years back I had a '47 CJ2A, and am currently considering getting another (a '48). My recollection is that the stock gearing was somewhere around 5.13 or so, and I'm wondering whether it's possible/feasible to replace those with maybe a 3.08 or even 2.73 set for better mileage and the possibility of doing highway speeds. Are parts available? Can...

My dad has a 93 Cherokee Sport 4.0 L, 135K in good condition. We are both Jeep owners. His Jeep started dying after about 15 minutes of running. The ignition turns on, all power to everything, the jeep turns over, but will not start. He replaced a broken heater hose several days ago and now this is happening. If the engine is cold it will start. If...

Just bought an '03 Wrangler and drove the 1000 mile journey home with no instrument panel lights (Headlights, tail lights, gauges and warning lights all work fine). After googling the issue, I proceeded down the path of tracing out the issue. - Fuses were all ok (replaced them anyway) - Bulbs work fine (replaced them anyway) - Headlight Switch (ordered...

Does any one know how to reeplace the window wipes (lower window seals) on a Grand Wagoneer? Do I need any special tools?

I've got a couple of fuel pressure regulators for sale that used to be on my Mopar MPFI conversion kit. I no longer need these since I converted to a 96+ regulator (single fuel line to the engine). The first is the stock regulator for $10 OBO. I ran with this for about two years: http :// webpages.charter, net /michael.white/stockReg.jpg The second is...

I've replaced my '82 Scrambler front seats, but the old ones are not that bad. They're about 9 or 10 years old. Note that two of the bolts have snapped off on one seat, and one bolt has snapped off on another. http :// webpages.charter, net /michael.white/seat1.jpg http :// webpages.charter, net /michael.white/seat2.jpg http :// webpages.charter, net /michael.white/seatbacks.jpg $20...

I've been upgrading stuff on my '82 Scrambler, and I've got some parts left over that someone can have. I'm posting here a day before I post to the free lists. 1) Metal fairlead for a Warn winch: http :// webpages.charter, net /michael.white/fairlead.jpg 2) Pair of original hub locks with almost 190,000 miles. Still work, but as you can see, the spring...
