On my '84 Scrambler - I just installed front/rear MORE shackles - there's an extra bolt w/sleeve for each shackle set, which I first thought to be the hanger/bolt for the other side of each set of springs (and couldn't figure out what the sleeve was for). Then it came to me that the sleeve would fit in the middle hole of the bracket and tried it on the...

Went on a wheeling trip this weekend and had some problems with the '95 YJ, 2.5L, AX5. The check engine light would not turn on and the fuel pump was not activating. Engine would turn over fine but would not start. Also dash would illuminate, fuel gauge activated, etc. It did start after trying many more times and once started would run perfectly, no...

This spring I bought a D30 from a whow wrecked his YJ. The axle had new ball joints, brakes and steering and had been regeared to 4.10 20,000 mi prior to my getting it. It's been leaking what I think is gear oil from the passenger side onto the "ear" just outside the axle tube. I've been checking my gear oil on a regular basis and it has not...

I hope some one can help me. I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo Freedom edition with the manual a/c control. The a/c blows cool not icy cold from the center vents fine. However, the side vents, more so on the passenger side do not. I get some air blowing from the side vents but it's not very cool and not very powerful. The heat blows like the...

2004 Rubicon My instrument cluster lights are not working and the radio does not dim when the headlights are on. The dimmer switch does not have any effect other than turning on the dome light. Any suggestions? The fuse (#10) is good. Thanks in advance! -Kurt Newbie Jeep Guy

OK, In the middle of a Rolling Nightmare, but I THINK I'll live thru it... I'm trying to remove the factory dash knobs with Stainless Knobs from (everybody say it with me) JC Whitney. How in God's name do you get the pulls for the Vent/Temp/Defrost off. It looks like they used SuperGlue to lock them on the metal pulls! Thanks in advance for the i...

I Went to sell my long loved jeep today and seemed to have it in the bag, that is until i went to throw it in 4 wheel. The jeep clunks when i try to engage in 4 wheel or 4 low. The noise seems to come from the transfer case. Just looking for a ballpark idea of what i might be up against. Its an 86 CJ7 with a 5 speed T-140 Thanks in advance!
