Here is what good-win-racing . com has to say about it: "Weight. The Mazda Miata is incredibly sensitive to what is called unsprung weight (which can best be understood as what hangs off the Miata suspension rather than what sits on it). I was surprised when I bought my first Miata in the early 90s when I ended up not enjoying the very first set of very...

Do y'all find that using it only during the cold winter months is adequate, pulling it off during warmer spring/summer/first part of fall months. Or once you begin using it, do you just leave it hooked up year round??? TIA

I am having a problem. I just installed a new Slave cylinder because my clutch master cylinder was leaking down and this site advised me that that was most likely the problem. Well, I can let it sit over night and the next morning the master cylinder is empty again. I am not seeing any fluid on the ground or anywhere around my car. What is the problem...

My 1995 MIata has a lot of trouble latching the top down. Usually I have to keep it open and use a seperate cover when the weather demands it. Would replacing the latches with new ones solve the problem? It is a new vinyl top from Robbins, but I am wondering it the problem is not in the latches but maybe the top framing itself. Any advice woudl be greatly...

Has anyone owning a Miata had the following problem or know what is causing our problem. After traveling for an hour plus or so and then stopping and starting as you go through heavy traffic and numerous red lights in 80 degree plus temperetures the car stalls out as you shift into 1st or 2nd gear. While in neutral the engines still runs but as soon...

This one only works at home. It is an external device that weighs 125 pounds and does not fit in the car while it is being driven. I call it the "Chew Your Ass/Should Have Picked Another Miata" series...... :-) * img.inkfrog . com /pix/pat/otis3.jpg Pat

I'm a yutz when it comes to automotive repair so please bare with me. 95 MX with 95K. It's had pretty good maint during it's life. Turns over with less than one rev of the engine. However, after driving 4-5 miles, it spits and sputters. Keeping the peddle to the floor, it eventually catches for a bit and then back to spitting etc. Plugs, air, fuel are...

No affiliation as usual. $600.00 shipped. One has curb rash. Quite a savings over factory and it leaves you with 2 extras in case of future bends if you decide that staying with the OEM wheels is an option. * tinyurl . com /2vg64c Pat

I am thinking about buying a 1992 miata with 69K miles on it. Anything major to look out for on this 16 year old car ? I like it because it is yellow. He is asking $7900 for it. It has a clean carfax report and he is the 3rd owner. He has replaced the radiator and hoses, brakes, water pump and timing belt recently. It has spent it's life in CA and...

I just have a couple of rust spots under the trunk lid next to the plate lights. I just want to grind it down and then spray paint the area. It's under the lid and won't show so it doesn't have to be perfect but I'd like the color to match as best as possible. Any inexpensive touch up paint in a spray can you can recommend. My car is a silver 2000. Thanks. --...

Dunno whats up with Ebay. All I see anywhere else is people asking more and more for them... 4-5000 for R75's and R90's, 10k for R90S's... On ebay, watched a really nice looking R100S go for only $2800. Then a questionable R100/7, that the guy "fixed himself", possible serious sun rot, "Buy this so I can go to mechanic school" and how he broke his leg,...

I am so stupid I cannot get the lamp out of the socket on my 1998 Miata. It does not seem to twist out and there appears to be no retaining ring. There are clips but you cannot get to the one on the fender side. I have had some bad experience breaking these clips off in the past. Can someone give an old guy any suggestions
