Looks like it's getting close to another timing belt change. Came across this add a while ago. Anyone think these could be left for longer? It's a standard '94, looking at extending time belt change interval rather than increasing performance. Maybe twice the life of a standard belt? Cost is well worth it for the hassle. * gatesracing . com /timing.cfm...

I did. No apparent damage, but what a mess. Didn't even lose the cap. It just sat on top of the engine block for a couple of days.

I have a '97 with PS, AC, and JRSC. 108K miles. When I first got the JRSC, everything was perfect. Then a couple months later the car developed a heavy buzzing when the engine was lugged slightly, especially starting off from a full stop, but also if I deliberately lugged it. Then the noise disappeared and I've had two years of wonderful, trouble free...

Hello All, Has anyone used NT01 R compound tires on their Miata? I have some on order for Auto-X use and am having some second thoughts. I would like to hear your experiences. Don

I know the standard stuff, scheduled replacement @ 60k, but non-interference so, why not go to 90k, it probably still won't break. Well, I'm nearing 90k and I know I'm going to have to do this but, can anybody tell me of an NB timing belt that DID actually break and at what mileage it happened? I would appreciate any accurate info. Thanks, Chris --...

I just bought a 2006 MX-5 that came with the standard multi-function stereo. I noticed there are two small grills between the two seats in the rear that look like they may have been for the Bose stereo speakers. When I turn the fader to the rear, no sound comes out. Does anyone know if a couple of speakers can be added and will work with the multi-function...

Driving behind my NA the other day I could not believe how wimpy and dim the brake lights were. Does anyone have an opinion about the Altezza style tail lights that are sold on Ebay for about $75-80 a pair? Do those lights use the existing electrical harness or do you have to cut the wiring to splice in new bulb sockets? Thanks in advance for your a...

I have been told that I must do something with this 1991 Silverstone. It has been sitting for over 3 years, blown radiator that probably damaged the engine because it was run dry, and it needs a few parts that have been "liberated" for my running '91 Miata. It has an A/C system that is only about 7 years old that would swap directly into my existing...

Apparently yellow jackets find my Miata a perfect place for a nest. I KNEW that I rolled both windows up, oops. Passenger side was down. They had started on the rear view mirror, and this was going to be a real problem. Glad I didn't sit down into the car at night, I don't think that I would have seen them from the overhead light. Fast little buggers,...

I'm shopping for tires for my '03, and had decided on the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. But, AFAICT they're not availble in the 205/45-16 size. What mail-order tire vendors do poeple recommend besides tire rack? -- Grant Edwards grante Yow! Will this never-ending at series of PLEASURABLE ...
