The engine/turbo/computer from the running Miata will probably be sold as one unit, though I may part the power-train out as well. I have removed many of the parts from the Silverstone with 128,000 miles, the parts from the red car will take longer, possibly the beginning of October. Located in Austin, Texas. I would prefer to ship as little as possible, but...

My '95 had pathetic washer nozzles that shot a solid stream of wiper fluid that meant having to waste a lot of fluid to get the windshield clean. Finishlineperformance, com offers a washer jet from a Tribute as an alternative that is a direct fit and is not only better, but also cheaper than the Miata nozzle ($6.95 each vs $14.95). The spray from the...

My second hand '95 came with a defective cigarette lighter and I could not find instructions on how to replace it For what it is worth, here is how I got mine installed. Proceed at your own risk. The part cost $28 from finishlineperformance, com . You probably should study it to see how the metal body fits into the plastic ring (requires a specific alignment...

I visited my 1992 Miata yesterday at the shop, it's original paint is almost completely removed and most of the prep work is done so it can be painted today. They didn't plan to strip the car but when they tried to sand it, huge chunks of paint flaked off revealing no primer beneath (typical of 1990-199? cars after the EPA outlawed previous painting...

The most common ways to let a GPS help you save on gas is by asking it to help you find the quickest, not the shortest route. http :// gadgetupdates.googlepages, com /gps can help save on gas

I apparently misunderstood when I thought the paint shop said I'd get the car back last Friday, they called my yesterday morning and said it would be done this coming Friday, the twentytooth. Too bad, we're having good top down weather and my new tires are still waiting for a test drive around a curve or two.... maybe a quick dash up 191 would break...

Started having some kind of rattle on front drivers side and mechanic says its stabilizer links. Will cost $160 to have them replaced including labor. Car also needs front brake job and all wheel alignment as tires are new. cost will be another $250 or so for that Money is tight right now and am wondering if ok to skip the stabilizer link and just...

My '96 has a horrendous exhaust rattle - I did the rubber mallet thing and it seems to be coming from the cat, the front resonator, or both... hard to tell. The PO put a Flying Miata system on, I think a catback (front resonator is not rusty, stainless?, dual-tip not-rusty muffler is labeled Flying Miata) so I'm thinking the cat is my most likely culprit....

'90 Miata 106k miles. My car has developed a very high pitched whine/whistle coming from the drivers rear wheel. Seems to take 15-20 minutes for the whine to begin. Can eliminate temporarily by pulling up emergency brake or swerving car f/ side to side. Brakes? Bearing? If bearing, is there a grease fitting? Chip L

Anyone point me to a "how to" on taking out the radio on a 2006? We are not necissarily swapping out the stock radio, I need to get to the back to do either an audiolink or wired fm transmitter for an ipd connection. Thank you. I guess while I'm at at, any experience on the audiolink or wired fm transmitter?

!999 Mazda 323 with erratic, slowish idling. Drives quite normal everywhere else. Sorry about off topic, figured there would not be too much of a difference John

It's brake service time. I plan to put rebuilt calipers on with new pads and new rotors. I am leaning towards OEM on both but am thinking about Hawk pads. What'cha running for brakes, and what did the rotors and pads cost? Also, if anyone has a set of either rotors and/or pads gathering dust, I have a lot of parts for trade. Long shot, but who knows....

My friend has a 2000 Miata with a damaged left rear tail light. Is it difficult to remove the old light assembly and replace it w/ the new one? I haven't had the opprotunity to look inside the trunk to see how the assembly is attached to the body. Are instructions available on line? Thanks, Tom
