Hi, I have a 2001 Saturn LW200. When I was jammed in the snow, I realised that only one wheel (the right one) seem to give some traction. Is it normal ? Thank you ! Stephane B.

I decided to start this thread anew since the previous one sort of got hi-jacked. My local (non-Saturn) mechanic just gave up on this. My 2000 LS2, with like 260,000 miles, has been acting oddly in the automatic transmission category. Symptoms are sort of steady. I drive to work 50 miles each way (into NYC yet) every day. Daughter's 1996 saturn sc. 150000 miles 5 speed. The shifter was off I worked the shifter for a while and got it to go into reverce and then into low. This is about the fourth time for this problem. There is a clip where the shift cable goes into the tranmission and it keeps losing the clip. Is there something more that holds this thing togather that...

1998 sl2 stalls when i come to a stop, but drives fine down the road. once stalled it restarts okay in park or neutral but as soon as i put it in drive the car shakes violently and stalls. i have to rev up the motor and slam it into drive to get it to go, but it seems to be bogging out until i get up to speed. my check engine light is on and the auto...

I have a 97 SC2 with electronic locks. The remote for keyless entry will no longer sync when I hold both lock and unlock buttons for 7 seconds. I *DID* have a problem with the battery in the remote leaking, so I cleaned the inside of the remote, and replaced the battery. The Lock button works on its own. The unlock button works on its own. I have already had the cruise control switch replaced a few months ago on my '07 ION.3 (manual). It is acting up again and works when the heck it feels like it. I have a 1996 Saturn Station Wagon. I tried to use it this morning, but when I turned the key, Power came on for a second then it went dead. I checked the fuse box and jumped the battery, but no response. At this point the car not even trying to turn over, seems to be electrical or car ignition issue. Okay, I'll start by saying I've dug through the internet looking to solve this problem and haven't found an answer yet so I came here. I have a 96 SL2 that won't turn over. I've replaced the battery, alternator, and JUST finished replacing the starter. The symptom is the same as with the old starter, it will click, lights dim, and it doesn't turn the engine...

Just had my tires rotated & a front end alignment & a balace on all 4 tires,on the way home.the steering STILL felt like it was drifting off to the drivers side,just as it was before.Should i worry about it?.Had the work done at a Firestone,really think I should call tomorrow & tell them.Or is that the way Saturns steer?.This shouldn'y be a problem.

What would the average cost be of installing a new starter be on a '97 sl2? I assume that generally they are replaced with rebuilt starters. Thank-you
